A Nightmare On Halloween Night

"What are you both doing? Trying to get away? I would just sit back down if I were you. As long as you have that scratch on your arms. I will always be able to find you." She says pointing at our scratches.

I stare at the unwanted scratch on my arm and then Talons. I can feel Morrisa staring at us. This cold feeling running down my spine telling me to run away but.. I know that if I do things will only get worse. I sit back down and pull Talon to sit down too. He just stares at Morrisa with cold eyes and I swear they changed color for a slight second. I look back to Morrisa who is just staring at her hand as if it were going to bite her. Then she looks back up at us and I decide to say something.

"Why are you here Morrisa..? Why did you give us this scratch in the woods, and why are you stalking us?" I ask scared to know the answer but I know I need to know.

"I told you already. I have been looking for you for a while now. I need you finish the mission I was never able to finish. I am the last of my family and you both have the blood of my ancestors. Don't ask me how because I do not know at all. I just know that you both were born to take my place and help save all of the panthers here. I was never able to find out how I was supposed to save my kind. Until I found you both. By giving you both that scratch I was able to give you all of my powers." She says looking at the woods behind her.

As if to understand everything I just found out I nod and look at the woods sensing something moving. Figuring I was just paranoid I shrugged it off but I believe Talon felt it too. For that moment he stared at the woods too.

"They are watching I know." Morrisa says turning in her seat and hisses.

Then just like that, the feeling I had of being on edge left and was replaced with relief.

"They were hoping to find you before me. That way they would've been able to turn to their side." She says turning back to us.

"Who are 'they' exactly?" Talon asks her and she just sits there staring at him.

"I don't know if I am the one to tell you that.." She sighed sitting back slightly crossing her arms. "There are some things you both need to know.. but as of right now, you do not need to know. I will be close to you both and if there is danger I will be able to get to you as needed. I will have to teach you both everything I know about how to defeat what is out there." She looks around us then leans forward on the table to whisper something to us. "You will know when you are needed, your powers will come when needed, and when you are done they may or may not be withdrawn." She stood up from the table we were sitting at and waved to us. "Looks like the party is starting. I will leave you both to it. If you need me you know where I live. If I need you I can easily find where you live." She pointed to our scratches again. "Well good night my friends! I hope to see you tomorrow!" She said bringing back her new girl attitude. She walked away and left us there confused.

"Skyler.. Why do I feel like our lives just got a whole lot more confusing..?" I hear Talon say leaning over to me a bit.

"Well.. That is because.. It just did.." I replied to him and hitting my head on the table regretting it immediately.

"Skyler!! Talon!! Did you get to meet the new girl!?" I hear Janie yell to us then Talon sighs and I hear a bang. I'm guessing he hit is head on the table too.

I look up from my place and force a smile on my face and look at Talon he is now rubbing his forehead. I looked toward where I heard Janie and see her and Kyle running towards us.

"Yes we did." I tell them hoping that they can't sense my uneasiness.

"She was really sweet wasn't she?" Kyle says and this time I see Talon hit his head.
