The aftermath

Yuu's pov.

I wake up to see that it was 12:00... Something about that didn't quite feel right.. But I couldn't place my finger on it.

I close my eyes and try to figure out why I had this horrible feeling in my stomach. That's when I remember... It was Wednesday... Mika and I were supposed to be at school.

"Mika!" I shout and sit up quickly in bed.

Mika's eyes shot open and he looks at me with a slightly panicked look. "What is it?!" He asks, his eyes scanning the room for any danger.

He finds none and calms down.

"Oh man.. Gurren is going to kill us..." Yuu mumbles.

"Yuu-chan? What's the matter?" Mika asks, his eyes full of concern.

I gesture to the clock on the bed side table. Mika's eyes widen.

"I'm so sorry Yuu-chan!" He looks down at the bed sheets, guilt written all over his face. "I was being selfish and because of it you'll get in trouble."

I looked at mika with surprise written all over my face. "Don't blame yourself for this!" I say. "It wasn't your fault."

The blond boy nods, but he didn't look to sure.

I had always noticed that mika had a bad habit of taking all of the blame for anything bad that happens. Its like he blames himself for any tragedy that happens. Even things as simple as this.

I put a hand on mika's shoulder. "Don't blame yourself for something that isn't your fault mika. I don't like it when you look upset."

Mika studies me for any sign of sarcasm or pity. He finds none and smiles a bit at me.

"But I don't like it when yuu-chan gets in trouble." He admits and looks back down to the bed sheets.

I smile softly and wrap my arms around him. Mika immediately melts into the embrace and hugs me back.

We hold eachother for a few moments before mika pulls away and looks at me.

I look back at him and smile warmly. "We'll face this together. " I say. "You're not alone anymore mika, I'm here for you and am willing to take some of the weight.

Mika's eyes glazed over and he smiles at me. " thanks yuu... "

I smile back at him and lean in, placing my lips on his.

Mika's pov.

I was shocked to see that yuu kissed me. Not that I minded it or anything, but he is usually to embarrassed to do anything of the sort.

I didn't realize it at the time, but I was blushing. Yuu smirks a bit at that and laughs.

"Looks like I'm not the only one who feels embarrassed towards these things." Yuu teased.

I roll my eyes.

"So what should we do..?" I asks him gently. "About us being late, I mean."

Yuu looked down and thought about it for a moment. "Hm.. Well I don't want to get yelled at juuust yet." He smiles a bit. "Let's stay home!"

I smile at the raven haired boy. "If that's what you want yuu-chan."

Yuu gets up and stretches. "Let's watch a movie!" He suggests excitedly.

I looks at him. "We watched one yesterday.." I point out stubbornly.

Yuu smiles and pulls out another movie. I didn't even realise he had gotten two.

I smirk a bit. "What's this? Did yuu-chan expect this to happen?"

Yuu immediately gets flustered. "N-no..! How could I have known that this would happen?!"

I close my eyes for a moment, "true..." I admit. "Then is it that yuu-chan wanted to have another movie night with everyone?" I was really hoping that his answer would be a no.

Yuu sighs and puts the movie into the DVD player. "No.." He says quietly as he comes and sits next to me. "I just wanted to spend some time with you..."

I smile at this, pleased with his answer. "You're so cute yuu-chan." I say and snuggle him as the film begins to play.

"I am not!" He retorts.

It is always funny to me how yuu could go from embarrassed and cute as hell, to a stubborn tsundere in under five seconds.
