I was in the library of the Bunker, holding Aiden standing. He was a few months old now, so he could stand up with a little help, but once you let go... plop.
Aiden sat on the floor.
I held my hands out to him. "Come on. Come on, you can do it." Aiden gripped my fingers, trying to pull himself up. I smiled, pulling him up. "There you go." Aiden smiled, almost losing his balance and almost falling again, cooing. I laughed, picking him up, setting him in my lap. "It's okay."
Sam and Dean walked in with beer and takeout food.
"Looks like the champ is getting better," Dean told me. I smiled. Sam set the food down. Dean walked closer, sitting in the chair next to me and Aiden, looking at him. "Hey, Aiden. How's little guy doing? Who's hungry?"
Dean took out the baby bottle.
Aiden smiled, gurgling slightly, cooing.
Dean and I laughed.
Sam smiled.
I took the bottle, feeding Aiden.
Sam looked at the laptop on the table. "You find a case?"
"Uh, no," I answered. "I'm starting to think that God's psycho sister has gone to ground."
"What about Cas?" Dean asked. "You hear from him."
"No," I answered. "He said he was working on something to draw her out, but it's been radio silence since he was here."
"Yeah, all this quiet's starting to wig me out," Sam told us. Dean took out a very large bacon cheeseburger with two glazed donuts holding it together from a bag, smiling. Sam and I exchanged a confused look, looking at Dean's sandwich. "What the hell is that?"
"That?" Dean asked. "That's the Elvis."
"Elvis?" Sam repeated.
"Mm-hmm," Dean answered.
"I--is that a..." I trailed off.
"That's a glazed donut," Dean answered.
I nodded in amusement. "Yeah."
"Two, actually," Dean told us. "One topside, one on the bottom. Now, your inferior versions? They'll just take one donut, split it right down the middle. Mm-mm." He clicked his tongue. "Boom."
Dean kissed his fingertips, making a show of blowing it away, smiling.
"All right, well, uh, hope you enjoy it," Sam told him, pushing the Elvis toward Dean. "Wow."
"You know there are starving children out there," Dean told him.
"Dude, I'm not gonna survive hundreds of monster attacks to get flatlined by--by some double donut monstrosity," Sam told him.
"The Elvis," Dean told him.
"Whatever," Sam told him. My phone started to ring. "How many calories are in that thing?"
I put the baby bottle down, taking out my phone to answer, seeing it was Claire Novak. "Hey. Long time. Your, uh, 'Caddyshack' review is way overdue. Yeah, you got it. We're there." I hung up, looking at Sam and Dean. "How do you guys feel about going to my old home?" Sam and Dean looked at me in confusion. I smiled. "Sioux Falls, South Dakota."

We were in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, in the house where Alex Jones and Claire Novak were staying with Sheriff Jody Mills.
