Liv's POV

I took in what had all happened. 'Was Grayson really crying!?' I wouldn't care anyway I thought to myself. I stood up and looked around. I saw a door that lead outside and also the door Grayson used to get out of and walked up to it. It was already opened from when he had ran so, I stepped out into the night. It was winter and since my clothing was ripped the chilly air hit my warm body making me shiver. I tip toed out the door and looked around. When the coast was clear, I made a run for it headed back to my house. I had been at this familiar location before so I knew my way back home. Home just the thought of that word made me tear up. I reached a field behind there house, it had tall grass so no one could see me. I collapsed in the grass and started to bawl my eyes out and rocked myself back and forth...

Ethan's POV

I watched in the corner of our garage, my twin brother ripping and beating (my crush) Liv's body and clothes. I couldn't watch so I looked away, I mean yeah, I used to help Gray only because I was threatened by Jack... And get this!!! Jack... Well Jack is Liv's stepbrother... He told us to beat her because

1. We were really close to Liv.
2. Because ever since his dad and her mom got together he hated her.
3. We know where her weaknesses are.

I looked back up to Liv, she looked like she had just fought in a war, all damaged. I looked into her eyes that were already looking at mine. She looked down and then I knew that was the time to run. I ran and hid in our field, as I sat down, all I could think about was Liv... The way here eyes looked at mine, filled with sadness and hurt. I couldn't help but tear up, until I heard loud crying and walked towards it. I saw Liv. Emotions were running high, but I don't know what triggered me, but I grabbed Liv, and I hugged her... Not too tight and not too firm. My tummy was exploding with fireworks and butterflies. I rocked her back and forth petting her hair and said in almost a whisper "It's okay Liv, Eth is here, I'm not going to hurt you, it's okay." I soon fell asleep shortly after she did, listening to the soft wind blowing against the tall grass...
