"The girl." I mumbled to my son Watson.
"Huh?" Watson was clueless, he never knew what was going on. He wasn't much of a help.
"Cameron's sister! We got Cameron, Nick, Nick's brother, and Troy. We forgot the ringleader." I glared at him, even though it wasn't his fault.
"Oh, yep, Chloe! What are we supposed to do now, Dad?"
Typical Watson, couldn't come up with any ideas of his own.
What was he gonna do when I left him some day?
"We need to get her as soon as possible, how about we run by their home, and scoop her up? I think only the mom is there right now, it would be easy to get past her.."
"Sounds great! Whats our plan of action?"
Watson kinda left me to micro-manage him, but sometimes I was okay with that, at least he got things done.
"Chloe's room is on the ground floor, close to the back door. I'll park about 3 houses away, you sneak around back of one of the houses to enter the woods. After you get to her house, climb the fence and enter the yard. You can open the window with this." I motioned towards the crow bar, and continued to drive.
"After you pry the window open, look into her room. You can have 2 plans of action. If she's there, hop in and knock her out with the bar. If she's not there, hide behind the door and cup her mouth when she walks in. Don't smother her- we don't want her to suffocate. Shes our hostage."
I put emphasis on hostage, hoping that Watson would understand how important it is that we have her with the other children.
We turned into a neighborhood called Bexley Grove and continued down a windy road that ran along houses that were very big, but looked alot like eachother.
The neighborhood was like one of those cookie-cutter scenes you would see at the end of "A Wrinkle in Time" or something along those lines.
"Look for the number 806." I called out to Watson.
"800..802...804....80-" He paused.
"What's the mat-" I stopped in the middle of my sentence and peered towards 806."
The house was surrounded by police cars. It was too late.
