The days went by fast, and they soon became weeks. At the time we were at now, there were only five weeks left. I spend every day with Riley, and I got happy in a sad way, because our relationship had gone quite strong. But I knew this was going to end. I was sad, but I knew it.
I woke up in Riley's arms. We had slept in the same bed a lot of the times, but it was rare that we had sex. I look up at him, only to catch him looking at me. He looks away, and I see his cheeks turning red. I kiss his red cheek as I sit on him, on leg on each side.
"Goodmorning," I say.
"Indeed," he says, placing his hands on my hips, taking his head up, pressing his lips against mine for a few seconds, which in some way felt like hours, and in another only a second. One thing was sure; I wanted it to continue. I smile as I sit on top of him, seeing as his eyes wanders around on my body. I'm only in my panties and one of his oversize shirts. He smiles as he's eyeing me.
"How is it that you look better in my clothes than me?" I laugh.
"Because I look good in everything." He chuckles sitting up a bit.
"I can't argue against that." I smile as I let my fingers run through his hair, ending behind his ear, tugging the small hairs a bit. He smiles and I feel him caress my waist, then sliding his hands up under the shirt, and caressing the same spot, just against my skin. I loved the feeling of his hands against my skin, especially my waist. I smile as I lean down, pressing my head against his shoulder, him leaning back so I'm lying on his chest, my legs still on each side of him. How uncomfortable this position looks, it was really nice. Riley's hands trail up against my bare back, playing the clasp of my bra. I close my eyes, as I feel him playing with it, as he unclasp it, then clasp it again, with only one hand.
Then there's a knock on the door and I jump off him, not letting him clasp it again, and Melinda comes in.
"Oh, I see you are awake. I'll just let you know, that we're taking the twins for a sail in the lake. There's pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon downstairs."
"Sweet, I'm starving!" Riley says, making me laugh. Melinda smiles as she closes the door again. I sit up, sliding the shirt off, forgetting about my bra there's still unclasped. I giggle a bit when I realize it. Riley chuckle while he smiles as he comes over clasping it under a second, then leaving a kiss on my shoulder. I stand up and take the clothes from yesterday on, looking back at Riley who is still only in his boxers, standing with his shirt, looking at me, and I get that he has been watching me change. He looks away, blushing as he slide on the shirt, then a pair of shorts that goes to his knees. As he does that, I grab one of his snapbacks.
He smiles at me, and we go downstairs and into the kitchen, where you can just smell all the food.
We take some as we play around a bit. My eyes then scan across and sees a computer.
"Why do you have a computer here?" I ask.
"Why do people have computers?"
"To go on the internet." He rose an eyebrow smirking at.
"You have internet!?" I say as I go over to the computer, turning it on. And sure enough, they have internet. I go on Facebook, logging on. I have 42 notifications, 17 new messages and 14 friend requests.
"Wow, when you say you're popular, you really aren't kidding," Riley says coming over. I roll my eyes, and I sit down, pressing the messages, then looking at Riley. I take my hand up to his face and push it away.
"Private stuff," I say making him laugh and he comes up behind the chair I sat on, and wrapped his arms around me. Megan and Keegan had sent me a couple of messages, telling about their summer, and that they felt bad that I was stuck out here.
"I actually don't mind," I say, but don't write it. I feel Riley smile as his cheek get pressed against mine. I then go to another message, that of course has to be from Justin, telling me about how much he's looking forward to see me again, go on dates and... well other things. The smile on Riley's face disappear, and he lets go of me, walking back to the kitchen. I follow him and sees him standing with his elbows on the desk, his face hidden in his hands.
"Riley..." I start.
"Don't," he growls, making me a bit scared, to be honest. He looks up at me with teary eyes.
"I'm sorry Ash, I just can't believe that the days go by so fast, and we'll go back pretending this summer never happened." I walk over and wrap my arms around him for a hug, him holding me tight to him. I take my mouth to his ear, and says the words I knew I meant, but didn't wanna say, maybe making the situation with going back to school harder.
"I love you Riley. I do. And I know it won't change a thing, but I want you to know, that I regret nothing with this summer. This is worth no phone, no mall, no shopping, no Megan and Keegan, no Justin. Remember that. Those three words will forever be yours to keep." I tear up as I say that. He pulls away from the hug, only to press him lips against mine, with such feels. He pulls away a little after.
"I love you too Ash. I've done that even before you knew my name." He wraps his arms around me for another hug, us just standing there in each other's arms for I don't know how long. But we pull away in the end, wiping away our tears. We go back to the couch and I sit in Riley's arms as we watch some television, after I had logged off Facebook, of course. Riley sits, stroking my back, but neither of us says anything. I don't know if the silent is good or not, but I had no idea what to say, so I kept my mouth shut.
