Chapter 1

~Roughly Two Years Later~

It was a typical sunny day at the Phantomhive household, and light basked down upon a sleeping young boy. He was quite the beauty while asleep.

His long, dark eyelashes rested over perfect ivory skin, and his tasseled odd colored hair shadowed his forehead.

That boy was my young master, Ciel Phantomhive. I held a tray with his morning tea, Earl Grey of course, and a mix of breakfast Danishes and Scones.

"Young Master...Wake up now."

I said softly, drawing back the curtains the rest of the way.

"You needn't be late for your lessons."

The young master rubbed his eyes sleepily, looking up to me with those undeniably gorgeous cerulean eyes.

"Nn...no...."

He grumbles, looking to the tray of food.

"What is there to eat?"

"Earl Grey tea, and a choice of Danish, or Scone."

I elaborate in drawn out English.

After Ciel sleepily points to the scone, I hand him his meal, and begin preparing his outfit.

A blue jacket, white undershirt with frills, black trousers, and heeled boots, all topped off with a black silk bow tie.

The young boy sighs setting the tea down on his polished nightstand, and sitting up.

"I'm ready to get dressed Sebastian."

"Yes, my lord." I reply, the same answer as always. While buttoning his jacket I go through the daily notions.

"Today you have a violin lesson, an arithmetic lesson, and a pile of paperwork for the queen. Lunch will be served at noon, and will either be ham spiced with herb, or turkey stuffed croissants, based off of your preference."

"Turkey stuffed croissants...."

The young lord replies tiredly, rather uninterested.

Really, that child was a little brat, and really quite naive at times, but even a demon such as myself couldn't help but to grow quite fond of his company. Not only were his looks beautiful, but his voice rang like a beautiful sonata on a finely tuned piano. Deeper than physical attributes though, Ciel may have been known as quite unpleasant deep down. Not that anyone outside of myself would know, for he put on a forced smile at parties and was actually quite the charmer.

But beyond that, he was truly a bitter person, set on revenge. His hatred burned like the eyes of the devil himself, and he never really smiled, nor showed happiness.

For most, he was child society wanted nothing to do with. As for a demon like myself however, looking for the most beautifully delectable soul in the world, this burning passion to bring revenge to those who killed every bit of goodness inside of him was perfect. And on top of all that, it made him bearable to be around.

Almost...too bearable.

"Sebastian! I said turkey stuffed croissants!"

The boy protests, crossing his arms.

I look up, startled rather rudely away from my thoughts.

"Yes my lord, turkey stuffed croissants it is. My deepest apologies for my late reply." I say humbly while bowing at his feet.

After standing up, I escort him to his oversized study. Once he sat down, he immediately looked to his work, a look of deep concentration showing on his brow. He looked rather cute propped up in his chair, his feet not even managing to touch the ground.

Wait...cute? Cute is not a word a demon should have in their immense vocabulary. Especially not a upper class demon as I. I simply MUST have mistaken the words cute and delectable in my mind in the hustle and bustle of things.

Right?

Agh, what in hell was I even thinking?

The boy was rather cute, no matter who was to say, or deny it. His hair falling on his face just so, his bright blue eyes that looked as deep as the ocean itself if you looked to long, oh it was nearly unbearable. His soul would be perfect to dine on, as if he himself were a feast meant only for the divine.

I slowly trod down the wide steps, twist through a few hallways, and end up in the kitchen. It was a Victorian kitchen, being the Victorian era and all, and the high cabinetry was made of finely carved wood, and the countertops a polished marble. All in all, the place looked like a room for guests, not a measly servants kitchen.

Immediately I take out ingredients and begin chopping away at the different spices, vegetables, and meats.

Throughout the cooking process, I allow my mind to wander.

It sounds something close to this.

'Cooking again, and for that Ciel Phantomhive kid. Somehow that brat made me think of him as cute. Well his eyes really are beautiful, and he...'

Wait...beautiful?

This was all too much. Of course, I lusted after my old masters before, and did some...interesting things with them...but never once did I think of them as beautiful.

The words always used to describe one I lusted for were 'hot', 'sexy', and the occasional 'sinful.'

But never once beautiful.

What had I become, soft?

Maybe it was because I had never served one so young...they say youth in itself is beauty, so it is obvious that my mind would find its way to that odd word.

After finishing lunch a while later, I decided to keep an open mind about the entire situation. It most likely was just an increase in my vocabulary, or a remark on his childish physique.

Stepping lightly, I enter the study with a tray of the young lord's lunch.

"Bocchan I-"

I was cut off by an extraordinary sight.

The boy was sleeping soundly in his oversized chair, his head tilted slightly down. His mouth was open just enough to let air into his child sized lungs and his eye lashes fluttered in his sleep.

Th-thump.

...

Th-thump.

I looked around. What was that? I searched around the room, trying to find where the noise came from, but it only followed me, Ciel still visible to me in my my peripheral vision.

Eventually, I looked down to my chest, where the noise seemed to be coming from. And then I realized. My blackened, evil heart was pumping faster than normal pace in delight from seeing the young lord in this state, and rushing blood to my face.

I was blushing.
