Hey guys~ This is my first naruto fan fiction, and all the events in my story may not coincide with the anime, (such as a few deaths will be avoided, such as Tayuyas for this chapter) but a lot of it will^^ Now remember I am a fan not an expert. I am bound to get things wrong, so please go easy on me!!:3 Thanks:) ALL CHARACTERS BELONG TO THEIR RIGHTFUL OWNERS(well, except Lucy. She's my oc^^)

~*~*~*

Please.

The dark corridor beckons me forward, the damp walls seem to be getting closer as I move farther down into the tunnels I used to know so well.

Please.

It can't be true. He's a liar. He always has been, and he's never liked me, so why would he tell me the truth?

Please.

I take the sharp left turn, and see the room, the door slightly cracked at the end of the hallway. Something warm and dark slowly makes its way to the edges of my eye, and a ghastly smell invades my nose. Even so, I continue to sprint towards it.

Please.

Shoving open the door, I find Tayuya sitting on the ground, drinking something from a vial. Her eyes looked up at my arrival, glanced towards something behind me, and then continued to drink. I watched her for a while- she was beautiful. Her hair fell around her face, and behind her as she tipped her head back, emptying the small glass. Her brown orbs stared at the ceiling- she must be recovering.

I see why you liked her so much now.

She stood and glared at me."What are you staring at you shitty rat?"

She didn't wait for my response but stormed out of the room, to go where I don't know. I watched her figure disappear into the darkness. She had a bit of a mouth on her, but she was definitely amazing.

Now that that distraction was gone, I had no choice. I had to know the truth. I turn on my heel , to see the hospital bed-

-empty.

Shaking my head, I ran to it. Banging on the rails, I saw the IV tube hanging without a patient, a towel strewn on the floor, a medical mask lay on the bed.

Why? Where could he be?!

"I told you, he's dead."

I snapped my head around to see Kabuto leaning in the doorway, sneering at me. My face hardened and I returned my gaze to the empty hospital bed.

"You're lying. You always lie to me."

His footsteps approached me, and hearing the padded noise on the floors unnerved me. Suddenly I felt breath on my throat, but I refused to fall back and show fear.

"Lucy, I have no reason to lie. Not about him anyway."

He craned his head backwards to look at my face and see what I thought of that comment. I blantantly ignored him and focus only on the bed where no one lays anymore. Footsteps echo down the hallway and my back straightens. Swiveling around I give Kabuto an 'I told you so' look, and stared at the door. My hopes were flattened as a man with bandages covering his entire face, aside from a lone eye that could pierce you with one glare. It took me a little bit to recognixe him, but realization hit when he spoke.

"Kabuto, you have work to attend to."

The voice was chilling, and sounded like he was always sympathizing with you, always on your side.Orochimaru! He wouldn't lie to me! Well, not for no reason anyway. Crawling over to his side, I gently make my way to my feet. He watches me as I get up, and I can't help but wonder what he's thinking about.
