The walk into school became the hardest, everyone's eyes watching me.
I had to act like the bad girl, cause that's what i was. They watched me. Expected it from me. I had to give the people what they wanted.
Its been 4 weeks since the incident. I decided for my two free classes to go to the fitness room. i haven't went there since the day Derek and his friends showed up.
I decided to start boxing. I used to box all the time but you know, coma and moving away.It was weird without my trainer but i managed. By the time i finished the sweat was just trickling off me. I turned around to see Luke looking at me. I became flustered.
"You don't have to stare" i finally say.
"Oh sorry" he grins.
I roll my eyes and walk out, passing him my gym bag.
Me and Luke got close after that, spending every day with each other. We went to parties, we hooked up with other people and then went back to my place and fell asleep in my bed. On the week days we get baked, go to school, leave school go out to dinner and then we go home.
I enjoyed every moment with him. Driving around with him giggling and poking fun. Watching the smile creep on his face when I say something stupid but he's too kind to point it out.
I never thought i would enjoy being around another boy so much without it being anything serious. I hope this never changes. Because if something were to happen. I don't know where I would be. He makes me feel like, i don't know, wanted. I never feel that way.
He keeps an eye out for Derek, if he sees him and his friends in the halls he lets me know. Not because I'm scared. Because if one of them speaks to me I will end up loosing my mind. I have anger issues. I never talk about it but I'm easy tempered and Luke knows it.
"Where are you going?" Like questioned.
"I have another free period. I'm gonna go get ice-cream or something." I said.
"Can I come?" He asks with needy eyes.
"Of course Lukey" I tease.
He looks at me with furrowed eyebrows. "Stop calling me that. My auntie calls me that"
I giggled. How cute.
As we walked out of the school, Derek and his friends followed us. My blood began to boil. Luke put his arm around me to assure me.
"Anna." I heard Derek call out.
Ignored him. I kept walking towards my truck.
"Anna please" he now yelled.
I stopped.
"I can deal with him" Luke said.
"No let me." I said stopping him.
"Derek you better be trying to tell me that there is a tragedy in my family or an emergency with my brother. Or so help me god I will not hesitate to slap you into tomorrow" I spat.
"I-i need to talk to you" he stuttered. His eyes gleamed with hope.
"You've done enough talking to me." I yelled. " Ever since I've moved here you've done nothing but bash me, hurt me and make a fool out of me. Why the fuck would I care what you need to say"
"Please" he says, avoiding my harsh gaze.
I don't wanna hear his excuses anymore. I don't want to be made a fool of. I don't want to get hurt. But something tells me to listen to him. To give him a a chance to explain himself.
Hell what do I have to loose?
