even though i'm wrapped in layers of cloths, the heart inside of me remains cold. my lips are chapped, my eyes are dull, my nails are stubbed.
even though he's wrapped in very little layers of cloth, his heart was as warm as the sun, his smile becomes contagious, his laugh echoes throughout the day.
just as my heart is, i am best in a cold state. when spring rolls along, love blooms, happiness unfolds, i was the bear who stopped dreaming.
when winter rolled along, plants would die, animals would go into sleeping, but he was the one thing that radiated with warmth despite the cold and lonely winds.
we have little in common, we are opposites. but, that didn't matter to him. he still showed up daily to brighten up my day, it bothered me, wasn't he afraid? i know i am.
besides the worries i had of him, i also had great memories. we showed each other different things, things we would've never thought of doing in the state we were in currently.
we both lived in very different worlds, but that didn't stop us. i was the moon, he was the sun.
i put things to sleep with my darkness.
he woke things up with his brightness.
we worked together, to show each other the good of both worlds.

the cool breeze embraced my skin as i walked. bright lights glared, trees swayed from side to side, the windows reflected every detail, today was flashier than usual.
a bright, green, and orange '7/11' sign flickered unsteadily. with it's large amount of light, the building could be spotted from a remote distance. despite it's lack of agriculture, it seemed to attract an amount of animals. they seemed to attract more rodents rather than humans. this sight was one i've become quite familiar with, and have grown to become fond of.
i entered the building, the sound of a bell going off filled the station and signaled the apathetic employee to greet me.
i ignored them.
i walked to the section full of drinks, seeking out my usual iced tea.
"oh hey, uh, i was just wondering if you had any suggestions as to what i could drink...?" a man with bright orange hair asked me, making little eye contact.
it was odd, a man with orange hair.
"oh, i prefer iced tea, yeah weird i know." i shrugged. he smiled awkwardly.
"thanks, oh this is, like, totally off topic, but have you ever tried a warm cup of chai tea?" he smiled.
"no, i don't really plan on it either." his smile faltered, i didn't care. i opened the freezer, uninterested, and grabbed the bottle of iced tea.
"o-oh, i see." he stood there awkwardly, fidgeting with his fingers.
i didn't bother to reply.
i walked up to the cashier with the drink in my hand before placing it onto the counter.
"that will be 1000 won(a little less than 1 usd)."
before i could hand the cashier my money, another bottle of the same tea was placed onto the counter, as well as 2000 won.
i looked behind me and was surprised to see the orange haired guy behind me, smiling.
the cashier thought nothing of it and bagged the two items, along with the change inside of it.
"have a nice day." still as uninterested as ever.
i awkwardly grabbed the bag and handed the orange haired guy his drink and change.
"uh, why did you do that.." of course i was going to be uncomfortable, this has never happened to me before.
"i was getting the same drink, so why not?" he smiled and walked out of the station.
"thanks..." of course, he didn't hear that.
