March

Softly, gently, ever so slightly, the bear moves

It shifts and shuffles

But the stone muffles

Its movement

Softly, gently, ever so slowly, the frost melts

A blade of grass breathes

And notices the leaves

Haven't yet woken

Like a spreading virus

The heat reaches the ground

And turns the ice around

Into a stream of life

Shivering crystals

Ornaments on a lethal trap

So the spider can wrap

All those who admire it

Softly, gently, ever so quietly, a boy ponders

He collects his thoughts

And reality trots

A million miles away.
