Fairytail One Shots!!

Dragons!?

The fairytail guild was awfully quiet and it was unnerving a few of the guild members. No one was starting a fight or goofing off like usual. It was just a few conversations here and there. Team Natsu were all sitting at their table waiting for the fire dragon slayer. They were scheduled to go on a mission today and they were about to be late. Erza was not happy with this and this worried Lucy and Gray as they imagined the pinkette's fate.

"Where is Natsu and Happy?" Lucy wondered as a sigh left her. Gray shrugged and Erza's frown deepened.

"Where ever he is, he better be here soon." She stated with crossed arms. Suddenly the guild doors opened and in walked a sleepy Natsu with a grumbling Gajeel and a teary eyed Wendy. The three exceeds flew overhead with concerned looks.

"I'm sorry!" Wendy wailed as she rubbed her tears away. Gajeel glared at her and Natsu yawned. The other guild members were shocked to see this. Wendy was crying more than usual and Gajeel was extremely grumpy since he just growled and glared at everyone. But what was even more shocking was that the energetic fire dragon slayer was about to fall asleep while he was walking.

"Natsu?" Lucy asked as she walked up to him. Natsu yawned once again and lazily waved hi to her before going and sitting down at their table. As soon as he was seated his head fell onto the table and he was sound asleep. Happy flew down and started to shake Natsu in order to wake up the sleeping dragon slayer. Gray was a bit unnerved at this and Erza was getting even madder.

"Wendy are you okay?" Romeo asked at the sky dragon slayer sat next to him. She burst into tears and started to ramble incoherently. Romeo started to pat her back as he tried to calm her down. Gajeel on the other hand had picked up Levy and placed her in his lap once he sat down. He would growl when she tried to protest through her stampering and at anyone who tried to separate them.

"Natsu." Erza said in a dangerous tone as she stared daggers at the sleeping pinkette. She was a bit concerned about his behavior but was still mad that he showed up late and it looked like they wouldn't be going on the mission because of this. Natsu let out a tired hum in response as he moved his arms around his head as a pillow.

"Hey Happy, why is Natsu acting this way?" Gray asked the blue exceed. Happy sighed and tried to come up with an answer to a question that he himself didn't even know.

"I don't know. He was fine yesterday." Happy responded. The other three looked at the cat then at Natsu.

"Did anything strange happen?" Lucy asked, but Happy shook his head no.

"We ate dinner then went to bed." Happy stated and sat down on the table next to Natsu's head. "But before we went to sleep, Natsu had suddenly looked out the window as if he had heard something. I tried asking him what he heard, but he said it was nothing and we went to sleep.

"Hmm..." Erza hummed as she thought about this. "Happy can you ask the other exceeds to see if something similar happened to them?" Happy nodded his head yes at Erza's request and flew off to the other two exceeds.

"What do you think happened?" Lucy asked the requip mage. Erza shook her head.

"I don't know, but I have a bad feeling." She simply stated and it gave Lucy and Gray the chills. After a bit, Happy came back and told them that the same thing had happened to the other two dragon slayers as well. Erza nodded her head in thanks and left the table to find Makarov.

"Do you think he will notice if we took off his scarf?" Gray asked to no one in particular. Lucy gave him an uncertain look and Happy thought for a moment.

"I've never seen him without his scarf before." Happy stated and this shocked Gray and Lucy. Not even Happy has seen Natsu without his scarf?

"Wait... He sleeps and bathes with it on?" Lucy asked. Happy nodded his head yes.
