Anna’s P.O.V.
Waking up extra early for photo shoots are a pain in the ass. Just one of the many perks of being a celebrity- if that’s even what you would call me. Ever since my early teens, my entire life has been in the spotlight. Don’t get me wrong, living on the upper east side of New York with wealthy parents definitely has its ups. My mother was a hugely known fashion designer in more than forty-five countries and my father owned one of the most popular hotels around the world.
I rubbed my eyes and stretched my back, taking a deep breath in before rolling out of bed. I walked to the bathroom that connected my room with my best friend’s.
“Good morning sunshine!” Layla said while brushing her teeth obnoxiously.
“Ew, mornings.” I replied pulling my long brown hair into a messy bun on the top of my head.
“Oh come on! This photo shoot is gonna be so much fun!” She said spitting out her toothpaste and rinsing her mouth.
I shook my head at her cheerful attitude, how is it possible to be cheerful in the morning? Layla and I have been friends since her mom and mine started working together. Her mother was a stylist for celebrities and all of my mom’s photo shoots, and her father was a well-liked politician. Layla and I had different personalities but that’s what made us click. She was an outgoing, flirtatious, party girl and I was more modest and sweet. I always tried my best to keep most of my life private.
“What time should we be leaving?” I asked her as I threw on a pair of sweatpants and a tank top. One of the only things I loved about photo shoots was the fact that they did our make-up and hair for us, so we didn’t have to struggle in the mornings.
“Soon, probably. I’m so excited! This will be so awesome for us, and don’t even try denying that you enjoy the pampering.” Layla walked back into her room to get dressed as I waited patiently with my phone in my hand.
“Alright maybe I do a little bit, but I don’t like the actual shoot.” I responded to her. She finally emerged from her room and rolled her eyes shaking her head. We started to walk downstairs where the limousine would be waiting for us to arrive.
“You are one strange girl, Anna.” Those were the final words spoken between us as the chauffer drove us to our designated spot in the Teen Vogue studios.
We got out and thanked the driver and then we walked inside the studio to see four stylists who were awaiting our arrival to begin with hair and make-up. Layla gave me one last look as we were whisked away to our dressing areas, and after that we immediately began to get transformed.
