When I walked down the dark hall that lead to the meeting room, I knew something was wrong. The hallway for one was dark and Valance was afraid of the dark. She made the whole army hand out unbreakable night lights that ran on carbon dioxide. God sometimes that woman irritates me, but that's how I get a paycheck I guess. I loved the sound of my army boots against the freshly polished floor and couldn't help but walk a little slower when I reached this certain hallway that echoed more than the others. As I slowed down and rounded the corner to the last hall I heard a scream. I rushed into the room without nocking and could barely take in the scene: all the computers were smashed and bullet holes trashed the remaining tech. "What the HELL is going on?" I screamed at the people in white and red lab coats that were all crowded on top a little screen.
