BOOM! I heard a very loud explosion downstairs. I hurried to see what happened.
I saw Mom covered with dark peices of ashes. I think the microwave exploded again.
"Mom?" I asked.
"Yes? My son?" she replied.
"What happened?" I asked worriedly.
"Oh. It happened again." she laughed.
"Oh. Do you want me to help you?" I offered.
"No son. You better prepare for school." she said.
"Are you sure Mom?" I asked.
"Yeah. Eat." she finished.
So I ate. I took a shower and wore a white T-shirt and jeans.
I am Anthony Smith. And I live at Michigan, Detroit City. I study at Michigan State University.
"Hey Smith!" someone shouted.
I saw the school bully, Emil Cotton. And his group of friends.
"Catch this football!" he shouted as his friend threw a football towards me.
I didn't caught it. The ball hit ne and I smashed into the ground. I heard them laughing, giggling to death. Until I heard someone shouted,
"Hey you bad bullies!"
It was Angeline Jones, my friend. She is always there by my side. In good times and in bad times. I knew her secrets and she knew mine.
"Angie! Don't have to protect me!" I whispered.
"No, Anthony. You protected me last night from that drunk guy in the neighborhood, it's for me to return the favor." she answered.
I sighed in defeat. She picked up the ball and threw it to Emil. It successfully hit his stomach.
"Taste that, d***head!" she shouted.
"So? You messed with the wrong guy." he said angrily.
"Don't touch her!" I shouted.
"Oh? I'm sorry, Smith. But this girlfriend of yours messed with me." he replied.
"She's not my girlfriend! She's just my friend!" I said.
"I don't care. Jones still owe me for what did. Come on boys!" he said as he left.
"Doing great? Now we're on trouble." I told Angie.
"I just tried to protect you." she said.
"Thanks. But you made it worse." I said and I left.
I can't believe I said that to my friend.
Watch out for the next chapter!
