Chapter 4: Fate

Statues of golden pegasi and unicorns lined the walls. A shining chandelier swung peacefully from the dark ceiling, paintings of people sat atop pedestals and seemed to follow you with their eyes. Bella tottered in, she felt speechless.
"Like it huh?" exclaimed Bradley
Crystal looked distant but was snapped back into reality by Bradley nudging her.
"Uh, yeah. My mother got married in this room." Crystal announced, then she spaced out on a painting, most likely her mother, thought Bella. Bradley and Crystal walked to a table.
"Bella, we need to tell you why we brought you here. " said Crystal with her voice serious
Crystal stood when Bradley and Bella sat. The table was decorated with napkins folded into the shape of bunnies. Frosty glasses sat by china plates and silverware made of silver shone in the faint light of the chandelier. Bella shuffled her fork and spoons around, she left the knife alone. Crystal left and Bradley looked at Bella.
"Bella. What do you want to know first?" said Bradley
"I want to know how my leg got better." said Bella
"Well, the best medicine our world has to offer, you see, Diomandia has some of the best care to offer." Bradley replied
"What now?" added Bradley
"I want to know why there is a beetle living in me" demanded Bella
"Everyone in our world has a spirit animal, they're like a guardian angel or something, they are a physical manifestation of your soul." explained Bradley
Crystal returned with a tray of tea. The teapot was decorated to look like a swan. Crystal poured some tea into the cups and passed it out,
"And finally, I want to know, why am I here." explained Bella. Bradley looked at Crystal, who exhaled and sat down
"You are here because... we need you." uttered Crystal
"You see, my mother, Queen Twilight, has become... well corrupted." added Crystal. Bella looked Crystal in the eyes. Crystal looked away, then back at Bella
"A man known as Dr. Marble has a dark spirit. It cursed my mother, and her spirit was darkened too. Your bond with your spirit is strong, the way you made it do commands so easily. I can see auras, and Aura has a great, powerful aura" Crystal explained.
Bradley drank some tea and looked at Crystal.
"Hence the name Aura, she is the most powerful spirit that we can reach right now." explained Bradley. Bella felt proud but worried too, how could a normal, confused girl save a different world from utter destruction. Bella's stomach turned and her head felt cloudy, anyone could be confused by all that new information. Bella shook her head and looked Crystal straight in the eyes
"I'll do it." said Bella
