We ran up the hill and found our parents at the front of the main building. Mom greeted us with a scowl as always.
"We're were you girls?"
"Down in the big field in the front of the field"
"Why"
"So we could be alone together before you leave me here for 2 months straight."
"Watch your mouth"

We walked into the meeting and sat next to a girl with an oddly familiar face.
"Hi I'm Gemma what's your name"
"Oh. I'm Rayne."
"Nice to meet you Rayne hopefully we can become friends?" She asked hopefully
"Sure" I mumbled.
Where have I seen that face before?
After picking at my nails and trying to distract myself for an hour and a half we were dismissed to go with our families to our dorm room thingies or whatever.
"Can we go find posters to put on the wall next to my bed at the store we passed on the way here?"
"No."
"Why"
"Because this isn't college."
"Hmph. Might as well be."
"What?"
"Ugh nothing mother."
"Mmmhmmm"
I rolled my eyes, grabbed my sisters hand and we ran up the hill together.
