A Dream Come True

The Tragedy

I woke up to my phone ringing. It was my mom calling me but it wasn't her or my dads voice.
Person : Is this Emma Heart?
Me : Yes
Person : Well there has been a car accident with many people injured.
Me : Are my parents okay?
Person : Mr and Mrs Heart have been killed in the accident.
When I heard both my parents were dead I started to cry.
Person : I have some more bad news.
Me : What?
Person : Since you are still a child I'm afraid we're going to have to put you in a foster home
Me : What?! No you can't!
Then I hung up, packed some of my clothes and walked out to see an office waiting for me. I fell to my knees crying when I saw Jacob running over to me.
Jacob : Emma what's wrong? Why is there a police officer out here?
Me : My parents are dead!
Jacob : What?
Me : They got killed in a car accident and now I have to go to a foster home!
Jacob : What?! No I'll never let them take you!
Police officer : I'm so sorry to break this up but your going to have to come with me.
Jacob : No! I'm not going to let you take her!
He said with tears streaming down his face.
Me : It's okay Jacob, I'll be fine!
Then the police officer helped me with my bags and I got into the back seat of the car and he drove off. I looked back to see Jacob sitting on the curb crying then we turned the corner and I started crying again.
