"Ready?"
"What if something happens to us?"
"It's too late for doubting anything, Sardonna."
"I know, Rayanne. I'm just .... scared."
"Well don't be, " I scold her.
That's Sardonna, my friend. One of the greatest friends a girl could have in the world. I couldn't thank her anymore. She was doing something so amazing for me that I don't even know how to express it towards her. Sardonna just agreed to come with me to find and battle the Oogga Loogas.
The Oogga Loogas were brown, hairy, deadly, grotesque creatures that can kill thousands of people by just looking them in the eye. That's just how ugly they are.
We're leaving unprepared and inexperienced. We have no idea where we are going.
"Sardonna, where are we going? What are doing with our lives?" I asked Sardonna. It was a serious question, that I desperately yearned a serious answer to. I love Sardonna. I can ask her a serious question and rely on her to answer in deep thought and not with an unnecessary silly joke.
I also loved Valeria she was my best friend. The Oogga Loggas had taken her away from me for almost a month now. I'm still unsure, but i think she's dead. The thought about it just makes me uneasy and anxious.
Sardonna took a seat down next to by the window sill and thought about my question for a while. The window was wide open, pushed out all the way. It wasn't the cold, brisk chill that sent a shiver down my spine, it was the horrifying sense of freedom the wide, open window gave me.
"Well i dunno, Rae. I don't think anyone has any idea of where they're going next and what the future holds for us... ya know sometimes i fantasize about every last worst case scenario. With every move I make, every decision I make, I just can't help myself," Sardonna replied. I never realized how deep Sardonna was.
"Let's just go. I don't care that we don't know where we're going. I love that feeling of wonder and mystery," I said.
Sardonna linked her arm in mine as we jumped out the window into the night.
