When Kassy entered the dining area, Paolo gestured for her to sit down.
"Kassy, Zandro said he gave you a copy of this contract," Paolo handed her the papers.
"He did, but I forgot about it, I got so busy at the office," in truth, Kassy just didn't want to read it, totally dreading what it contains and she was right.
Paolo sighed and scratched his head, "that's a bad habit of yours you need to outgrow. Now I will tell you what this contract says in a nutshell: you have to work for Zandro as his stay in personal assistant for 90 days or you are facing jail time, a police record in your unblemished background."
"SHIT!!!" Kassy felt the room whirl, she went to the trash can beside the refrigerator and threw up.
"Kassy!" Paolo immediately went to her, massaging her back, "Zandro, can you please get her some water."
Zandro opened the fridge, took a bottle of water, handing it to Paolo. Paolo made Kassy drink a little bit of the water.
"There you go, Kass, breathe."
Kassy felt like the world turned opposite its revolution. She felt it was not to her this bizarre thing is happening but to someone else.
"Is she alright?" Zandro asked.
"She will be," Paolo continued gently massaging Kassy's back
"That contract is a pretty good deal, all you have to to is serve me. You also get paid while in my service," Zandro matter-of-factly told Kassy.
"Easier said than done. What's wrong with you?! I will swallow my pride and apologize to you and I'm willing to pay your doctor's bill," Kassy hated it when she heard a pleading tone in her voice.
"You should've done this at lunch yesterday."
Kassy felt trapped, then Paolo whispered something to her. "All is not lost! Alleluia!"
"Hey what are you guys whispering about?" Zandro was getting irritated.
"I told her she can amend parts of the contract," Paolo replied.
"As long as it doesn't go against the purpose of having this contract..."
"Which is?" Kassy butted in.
"To serve me to my satisfaction." Zandro gave Kassy a hard stare. Kassy saw the stubborn set of his lips and the arrogant way he held his head.
"Dee Gee, I want to pull that thick, curly hair off your head until you scream!" Aloud she said "Can I at least have time to read through the contract, and suggest my amendments? Please." Kassy gave Zandro a pabebe pout.
"S-sure!" Zandro blurted out.
"Thank you," Paolo shook Zandro's hand, "We will contact you when Kassy is ready."
"I'm giving you until this Friday. We shall meet at my house on Saturday, 900 AM."
Paolo looked at Kassy, she nodded in agreement.
"OK, then this concludes this meeting."
"I will be going now, but I will be seeing you." Zandro pointed at Kass. Zandro and the police officers let themselves out the condo unit.
At last, it was just her and Paolo now. Paolo pulled her close and gave her a kiss on her lips, his hands started roaming her body.
Kass pushed him off.
"Stop messing around cuz!"
"You know we aren't really related right? Your Dad and my Dad are best friends since they were in high school, they're almost like brothers so we also grew up together almost like cuzins not cousins hahaha! Cuz I Need to See you...Cuzins!"
"We almost ruined it when we started "seeing" each other in college but thank God it was just puppy love!"
"Not for me..."
"You don't want me to go there, Pawie!"
"OK Chill! Let's get off the blast from the past train and into the station of the here-and-now. From what I understood from Zandro's contract, he wants you as a stay-in personal assistant for 90 days, he will pay you for your time and services. As his personal assistant, you will take care of all his personal needs like cooking him meals, getting his things ready for him in the morning, serve as his secretary when he works from home, accompany him on business and social functions, help out in organizing events he's involved in..."
"Pucha! I will be his Yaya?! His Nanny? Is he a freaking toddler? Crap! I'm not surprised, he acts like he's in his terrible two's, what a freak!"
"Calm down Kassy..."
"I can't! What about my career?! I can't do his bidding and hold a job at the same time! Oh my God," Kassy covered her face with her hands.
"That's where we need to start on revising the contract."
"Pawie, do you think I can just go into hiding? I have my passport, I have enough savings to hie it off and live somewhere else."
"Kassy, you mean just because of Zandro, you will pull the rug to all that you have worked so hard to accomplish? Your home, your way of life, your career? I don't think so. What's happening right now with Zandro, this will not last, it's only 90 days, you can get through this. I will help you."
"Thank you Paolo. No wonder you're one of my closest friends in spite of, you know..." Kassy waved it away.
"Yeah yeah I know. Now let's rehash Zandro's contract."
"Let me call the office first, I will ask if I can telecommute today."

At last, they finished the rough draft of the amendments in Zandto's stupid contract. Paolo stayed for dinner, he actually cooked dinner. Lawyer na, chef pa!
"Are these all the changes you want in here?" Paolo made certain that Kassy's amendments are clear and included in the contract.
"My immediate concerns have been addressed, and this is good for now. I mean, we still have a few more days left until we meet up with Dee Gee."
"Dee Gee?"
"DisGusting!"
"Gorgeous, multi millionaire, famous, every woman's dream, what else are you looking for in your new boss?" Paolo asked her.
"He's not my type, in fact, the mere sight of him is making the small hairs at the back of my neck stand!" Kassy gave a small shudder.
"Well, then, I think you are going to be alright living in his house for the next 90 days. Zandro, though has a reputation with women. Most of them are beautiful too. I heard he dated a Victoria's Secret Model," there's an envious tone in Paolo's voice.
"Good! I will never be that gorilla's type. I'm neither beautiful nor am I that feminine," Kassy enthusiastically said.
"No, you're not beautiful, Kassy. You are just gorgeous..."
