The Wise Shepherd

A shepherd was busy Grazing his sheep in a meadow. A learned man who was passing realized that the shepherd was illiterate.

So he said to him " why don't you seek knowledge so that you may become a literate and learned man ?"

The shepherd replied " I've learnt the best part of all sciences , so I don't need to go any further on this course "

" Tell me what have you learnt?"

" there are four things we should know:
First, not to lie so that truthfulness may reign .
Second , not to find fault with anyone , as long as I'm full of faults myself .
Third , not to eat prohibited food as long as there is permitted food for me .
And finally, never to neglect the Devils deceit and trickery , until I step into the land of paradise."
