Morning coffee is not an option. It is a must. Anyone who does not think so is dead to Sora. Anyone who denies her coffee will die. Also, if she doesn't get her coffee she will die too.
To summarize shortly, knocking over Sora's coffee and having the guts to run away without offering as much as an apologize is very not good. And the fact that no one in the whole Starbucks moves a centimeter to help her makes it all feel even more like hell and less like a friendly coffee shop. And okay, Sora could have bought a new coffee, but that's not how it works. So, with pride she storms out of the Starbucks, throwing an odious glance at an old lady who is still just gawking at the scene (Sora feels no guilt).
Sora pushes through a sweaty horde, trying not to get sandwiched between sweaty people in suits. She spots what looks like a bad fast food shop, but quickly decides anything is better than the crowded streets. Quickly Sora purchases a coffee that turns out to taste like dish water with caffeine. It doesn't make her feel better about her day one bit. A guy settles next to Sora. Did she also mention that his hair is the biggest mess Sora ever has seen? (Dark and standing in every way possible, and she didn't think that was possible without styling but accepts it probably is). And that he not at all matches perfectly to Sora's ideal type? (Except for the headphones around his neck that are twice as big as they should be). In any case, she silently promises that she will slit his throat if he tries to flirt with her, ideal looks or not.
"This coffee is shit." the guy states, glaring hatefully at Sora's mug, interrupting Sora's analyzing. She nods at him hoping he will take the clue and you know, leave her alone.
Nope.
He continues to ramble about coffee, and all the good and bad coffee shops in the city, and he mentions a Starbucks and Sora rolls her eyes. It doesn't go unnoticed and accusingly he asks why she's doing it.
"Because," she starts "I just was there and if you didn't notice it coffee is spilled all over my clothes, and yeah, that's where it came from."
The guy does not look very impressed, or even a tiny bit empathetic.
"So what. Starbucks is literally famous for handsome guys hiding in random corners to save girls when they spill their coffee."
Sora raises her eyebrows, before explaining in detail just what had happened and that he better shut the fuck up, or she'd throw the (now cold) coffee right in his face. To Sora's surprise he grins at her (instead of replying with an asshole-reply or running away, which she expected), and yeah she's pretty annoyed but that smile somehow manages to act as a temporary substitute to caffeine (weird guy).
"You're speaking now." he observes, and Sora shrugs in response.
"So what?" She snaps at him (so she isn't allowed to speak?)
He smiles wider at her (how even? Sora promises his face is going to be split in half or something).
"I literally sat here for fifteen minutes talking about coffee–because that was the one thing we seemed to have in common– and you only hummed twice as for answering."
Sora nods considerately, because he kind of has a point.
"Occupied drinking this amazing coffee." she shrugs, returning to her coffee. Sora takes a sip of it, but immediately spits it out. "That is even more disgusting when it's cold." she declares incredulously.
The guy laughs at her, and it's kind of weird how it doesn't piss her off, but rather cheers her up. Sora blames the sunshine smiles.
"My name is Min Yoongi, by the way." he announces. "Literally the most awkward person ever, introverted and also bi."
Sora frowns at him.
"You just came to a complete stranger and managed to hold a conversation for fifteen minutes about coffee without more than two hums as feedback. You're maybe awkward but you're not introverted." She sasses.
He smiles at her, and gosh, someone please tell him to stop because she is supposed to be irritated at him for interrupting her terrible day. And like, that smile makes it really, really hard. Sora realize he's waiting for her to introduce herself, and takes a sip of her coffee before she begins (and also spits the coffee out again. It's so bad).
"Kwon Sora." she informs and takes a fake sip (these kinds of visuals make a big difference. Not that she cares what Min Yoongi thinks) (but sipping coffee makes you look smarter). "Pretty much the same as you, except that I'm homosexual."
Min Yoongi's smile falls, and Sora wants to drag it out just a little bit, but bursts out laughing.
"I- Oh my god- I'm just joking!" she manages to splutter though the laugther, but his face just a few seconds ago is too priceless, and it's making it real hard for Sora to do so. Oh my god, she should have taken a picture. She decides to do it if she gets a second opportunity. Once she has calmed down (she is not admitting she is still sporting a huge grin) she continues.
"I'm straight. Sorry–I just couldn't pass the opportunity."
Yoongi smiles at her fondly.
"You literally scared the living shit out of me." he snorts, and then they're both laughing like idiots about what just happened. Sora has no idea where the energy comes from, but she feels like she would be able run to her job and back without feeling even a bit exhausted (but she really just wants to stay longer with Yoongi). Once they have calmed down a second time it's Yoongi who speaks up.
"By the way, could I get your number? If that's okay, I mean."
Sora nods and picks out her phone.
"Here, add yours, and I do the whole call-you-and-you'll-add-that-number-as-a-contact-thing."
She hands the phone to him and it's kind of ridiculous how he manage to not only look not-like-a-potato-good but actually for-real-good when he's writing down a phone number (Sora thinks there should be at least one double chin, but there isn't). He takes a quick selfie (thank god he's not one of the people that needs to take +100 of those before deciding on the first one anyways) and gives her the phone back. She quickly dials the number, hoping she will not regret it in the future (though it would be just like Sora to hook up with a stalker slash psychopath) . Sora is surprised when he doesn't ask her to add a picture after he added the number as a contact (later it turns out he sneakily took a picture of her when she wasn't watching).
Yoongi also tells her about a coffee shop with guaranteed both nice coffee and customers. Sora's heart definitively does not make a weird flip-flop thing when he tells her it's his secret gem. She definitively isn't happy she is wearing full face makeup, which hides the non-existent flush on her cheeks. When they say their farewells (poetic, isn't it? Turns out Sora does know fancy words too.) and she jokingly tells Yoongi she is so happy he did not hit her up with a stupid pick up line she is not at all affected by the sly half-smile he gives her.
When later that day as she is sitting on the subway home (she still had to go to work after all that because, spoiler alert: Life is a bitch and won't let you enjoy the smallest things.) her heart rate doesn't become two times faster when she reads the little innocent text if she maybe wants to hang out over the weekend.
Nope.
It's not like the only reason Sora could keep calm before was because of her low caffeine levels (which really turned off any emotions or just overall shut 50% of her brain down) and that she now was exploding thinking about everything Yoongi had said (and when he laughed and smiled, holy shit). Not like she now is really embarrassed over how rude she acted towards Yoongi. Not like she actually cares that much. It is just a tiny crush. Yup, that's it: A tiny tiny crush.
Doesn't mean she's gonna turn down the opportunity of having a date with a good looking guy though (more like: her friend persuaded her) (also free coffee).
