"Hey, (Y/N)!" Natsu shouted, smiling as he walked up to you.

"Hi Natsu" You smiled, turning to him. You were usually quite loud and confident, but when it came to Natsu, you were the shy and quiet type, which he found pretty adorable.

And at this precise moment, Lucy turned up, only to pick a fight with you.

Lucy was like the Gray to your Natsu.

You two despised each other.

For one reason only, you both had a crush on Natsu.

Now, neither of you were really the violent type, so you tended to argue verbally.

"What are you doing here, Natsu? I thought you were coming back to my place" Lucy turned him to face her, as she bit her lip.

"The look on his face tells me he doesn't want to be anywhere near you" You rolled your eyes at Lucy, taking a sip of your drink.

"Natsu! You can't let her talk to me like that!" Lucy pleaded, looking at him.

"Both of you just shut up! What are you even fighting about this time?"

Natsu. Stupid, oblivious Natsu.

"She's picking a fight with me because she knows that you prefer me" Lucy smirked, wrapping her arm around Natsu's shoulder.

"That is far from the truth. Honestly Natsu, it's obvious they both like you. You're so stupid sometimes," Carla spoke up, sighing softly.

"Sometimes?" Gray piped up, with a chuckle.

"Y-you both like me?" Natsu was taken aback by this, unable to counter Gray.

What if they'll stalk me like Juvia does Gray? Crap!

Natsu thought, eyes wide.

"And you're fighting over me?" Natsu asked, confused.

"Maybe you should let him choose" Someone from the gathering crowd shouted.

"Seems fair," someone else replied.

"Fine, tell us. Who do you prefer?" Lucy leaned over him, her eyes gazing into his own.

"Give him some time, Lucy," you sighed, "I'm going to go home, see you all later"

(The Next Day)

You tried on your new outfit, smiling at how much it suited you.

You walked into the guild hall, eager to see people's reactions to your new look.

You looked gorgeous, and Juvia began to rage as Gray complemented you.

"Natsu, you better go tell them" You overheard Mirajane and Natsu talking, and with a sigh, Natsu stood up.

"Lucy, you're on my team, you're a great friend of mine, I trust you a hell of a lot, and (Y/N), we've been to hell and back, and I wouldn't have done it without you" Natsu smiled.

"Cut to the chase, flamebrain" Gray shouted.

"Shut it, Ice Princess" Natsu replied. "I choose you, (Y/N)"

Cheers and claps erupted through the guild, and Lucy (surprisingly) apologised for everything.

"So, (Y/N), what do you say? Be my girlfriend?" Natsu opened his arms, so you could hug him.

"Of course," and you ran into his arms, and afterwards, he pulled you into a kiss, the cheers becoming louder, and Mira adding your names to her 'ship list'

Decisions can be tough, but he definitely made the right one
