P R O L O G U E

As King Derese sat on his throne, he admired his two sons playing with each other. They looked completely different, their personalities were completely different, but they got along the best.

He could tell Ravon was fit for king since the day he was born. He kicked and screamed his way out of his mother's stomach, 5 minutes before his brother. Always wanted to be first, always wanted to be the winner. And his looks didn't help oppose that fact. His dark, cute messy hair and dark brown eyes matched with his mischievous smirk. Yes, he would be mischievous, but even in his age, Derese could tell that Ravon would be one of those boys who girls always fall for, no matter how mean or greedy they are. He would be the bad boy of their family.

His fraternal twin, Charlon, was basically the opposite of his brother. He was the sweet, polite boy who held just a twang of shyness. He was definitely the sweetheart of the family. Both boys showed different sides of adorableness. Ravon is the brave, determined kind of adorable whereas Charlon is the polite, caring kind. He let others first and payed respect to everyone, even the maids and workers. And his physical appearance was the opposite of his brother. With neat, tidy blond hair and eyes that always change shades of blue, any girl with a sweet heart would fall for him. And both twins had dimples, which just made them 5% cuter.

Derese sighed, with a smile playing on his lips. Eight years with these boys, and he was already looking into the future.

"Your Highness! Your Highness!" A maid rushed in, taking deep breaths when she stopped.

At the rush, King Derese was worried, what should've caused this much of a big deal?

"Yes, what is it?" He asked, with a bit of impatience.

"It's.... It's ...." If she's panting this much, then she must've ran a lot, "It's... The baby. The baby is born! The baby is born, King Derese!" She said, gaining some more of her energy.

Derese's eyes widened, "Really? Then I must get there at once!" He stood up and started walking to the direction the maid came from.

Then he decided not to, seeing the maid's result in doing that.

"Follow me, we'll go the quicker way, but you must not tell anyone about this secret passage way, and definitely not use it without permission for the royal family." He looked sternly at her, "Understand?"

She gulped and quickly nodded.

Derese turned to the boys, who were still playing happily. "Boys, stay here, a guard will be with you soon. Carry on playing, soon I will have a surprise for you."

The boys' eyes widened at the word 'surprise'. "But Daddy-" Ravon moaned.

"Do you want the surprise or not?"

Ravon slouched on the floor, "Fineeeeee......" He said, dragging the word.

Derese turned back to the maid, "Alright, follow me."

He walked into his room, which was just beside the throne room and pushed on a candle that was on the bedtable.

The wall beside his bed opened, leading them to a set of stone steps.

They climbed the steps, which made a thud each time a foot met the stone.

There was a door at the end of the stairs, and when Derese opened it, let's just say that they almost became blind.

After a while of unending darkness, just a glimpse of light would be enough to surprise you.

The source which almost blinded them was the light of the royal hospital.

Yay(!)

After weaving through many empty rooms, the maid lead him to where the queen lay.

He rushed over to her and grasped her hand, "Clovette, are you okay? I'm sorry, I should've been there for you."

Clovette smiled weakly, "Yes... Yes... It was very painful. But I am better now. You were there for our little rascals anyway. But all this pain was worth it, for our baby girl." She managed to say.

He gasped, "It's a girl? It's a girl! Our beloved family has a daughter for once!" His smile could not have been wider.

"Clovette, where is my precious bundle of joy?" He asked her, it was too much. He couldn't contain his happiness. The queen pointed to the little cot to the left of her.

He rushed towards the cot and carefully took the child in his arms. She was awake and he could see her bottle green eyes as clear as day. Tiny wisps of dark hair surrounded her head. She held the smallest smile know to earth. But that smile was enough for Derese. It showed so much about her already. He had seen that smile on his firstborn when Derese held him. That smile, that naughty smile.

Looks like there's gonna be another Ravon in the palace, except it's a girl and she will be much, much more mischievous.

"Her name is..." Clovette started. And both of them said at the same time...

"Avena."

It was time. It was the time to proclaim the birth of their daughter to the rest of Evendia. All the royal family could hear the shouts and cheers of their people waiting.

Derese looked at Clovette. She gave a small nod in reassurance.

"Let's do this."

They opened the balcony doors cheers became louder. Soon enough, they died out in anticipation for the royal family's next actions.

Derese cleared his throat, "To all the citizens of Evendia, we are proud to announce another addition to our family. Another heir, another princess, and another child to love. Here, is the first daughter of Evendia in generations, Princess Avena Lerender Faye Rherone!"

The king and queen raised the child, and a deafening roar of cheers and shouts came. Amidst that noise, Avena let out a tiny giggle, when normally babies would cry and scream.

Avena's two brothers crowded around her and looked lovingly at her.

Even though they were only eight, they promised to look after their baby sister, and make sure she doesn't get in any trouble.

Well, they didn't do a very good job in that.
