Chase is back

Chapter 15

Since I have Nothing to do and I'm free, I'm gonna write this chapter, but it's gonna be so bad I'll cringe reviewing it

Chase's POV

A week has passed, I've notice Bree has been glancing at me, I wonder why... But anyway, a week's passed, training has been as usual, but Bree doesn't seem as cheerful as she always was, Adam has been quite mysterious too.

It felt weird, not knowing what's wrong. Maybe it's just temporal... I was sitting beside the cyber desk, looking around out of boredom. Bree sat on the cyber desk and sighed, looking at the elevator door. Adam was no.where to be seen... again, mysterious.

Training for the day was done, so we had nothing to do for the rest of the day, normally Bree would be listening to music, but she just sat on the cyber desk, beside me, silently. "Chase..." Bree said, in a small voice, seemingly absentmindedly. "Hm?" I hummed without tone at her. She turned her head to me and raised her brows.

"You called me... didn't you?" I asked, looking at her, confused. Bree stayed silent, before jumping off the cyber desk and standing beside me. I looked up at her, something was making my heart beat, and my mind raced to search for the answer why.

Bree's POV

I looked down at Chase, I choked back tiny sobs and felt my heart race. I didn't know what came over me, the next thing I knew, I was kissing him with my hands on his shoulders. I missed the feeling of his lips. A tiny tear escaped my eyelids and slid down my cheek.

Chase's POV

Bree... was kissing me. I knew I had to push her away, I knew it was wrong. But... something in me wanted this... I didn't want to push her away, it felt... right.

I quickly came to my senses and pushed her away. "What are you doing?" The words escaped my mouth. Bree didn't answer me, instead, she jumped back up onto the cyber desk and sat down again, looking away from me.

My heart raced a million miles an hour, I was craving for her kiss, but... I knew we couldn't, we're siblings.

Adam's POV

It's painful to see Bree and Chase like this, I pondered whether or not to share the file I found with Bree, but I decided to keep it a secret for a while more.

I went out of the shadows and looked at both Bree and Chase, making a confused face.

Bree's POV

It was painful, and I still wanted to feel his lips again. I was still choking back my sobs. "Where were you?" I heard Chase's voice, a smile coming across my face instinctively.

Chase's POV

I looked at Adam, waiting for an answer. "I didn't go anywhere" he said, looking at back at me. "Really?" I asked, suspiciously. "Yes" he answered, looking at Bree.

It made me feel jealous, I don't know why. "What's with her?" He asked, nudging his head towards Bree. I stayed silent, not knowing how to answer him.

Bree's POV

"What's with her?" I heard Adam say. The room was pin drop silent. Chase didn't answer him. "I'm fine" I said, trying my best to hide the break in my voice from choking back the sobs.

Chase's POV

My ears picked up a break in Bree's voice when she answered, it broke my heart. It was a weird sensation, she was hurt... and it broke me emotionally.

Adam walked away and again, Bree and I were alone. "Are you sure you're alright?" I asked, looking at the curved back. Her head bobbed up and down, indicating a nod.

I stood up and put my hand on her back. She straightened up and looked at me, her cheeks were a faint pink. Her eyes... they were beautiful, and they captivated me. "Really?" I asked again. She hesitated and nodded, a forced smile appearing on her face, which pained me.

I, then, abandoned reason and leaned it to touch my lips with hers momentarily.

Bree's POV

My eyes widened slightly, had Chase got his memories back somehow? I looked as he backed up and looked at me. Then he walked away, leaving me alone in the room.

Silence came over, only disturbed by my heart thumped against my ribs. Adam came into the room and looked at me. "Where's Chase?" He asked me, looking at me.

I stayed still for a moment before shrugging my shoulders.

Time skip...

Chase's POV

I was alone in the lab, Bree and Adam weren't amywhere in sight, and if they were hiding my sensitive ears would pick it up if a slight movement was made.

I walked over to the Cyber desk and tapped anything I could see, my mind elsewhere. Then, the screen turned red and I looked up.

Do you wish to access "Chase's Memories"?

My blood went cold, after reading that. I typed in "Yes". The screen flashed in and out, then it asked to please let me into the capsule. I fiddled around for a timer setting for the activation, setting it to five seconds and quickly got into my capsule. A white fog came over me and my head started to hurt and ache.

Bree... the first thing that came to my mind, was Bree. I need her, right now. I got out of the capsule and sat down on the chair that was seemingly always beside the cyber-desk.

I waited, my heart racing and aching for Bree.
