I THINK IT'S LOVE

JACE'S POV-

Me and Riley really hit it off, I think I want to date her, yeah I do. I will ask her out tomorrow because today I told Noah that I'd hang out with her tomorrow after school. I do have a lot of thoughts right now.

"Riley did you have fun?" I asked her.

"Yes! I feel like I'm in love with hanging out with you!" that was weird

"your tattoo really is amazing on you." I said to break the awkward silence.

"I like yours too, you are shaped nice you know that right." she said

"haha I'd say the same about you, but I don't want to come off wrong." wow that sounded better in my head.

"I like you, Jace you know that right?" this was the first time she'd say something in a question and actually meant it in that way.

I didn't say anything but I put my hands on hers and I looked her into her eyes and my actions spoke the rest. I leaned in and my lips brushed against hers. Once she realized what was happening she put her hands around my neck and my hands went on her face, we kissed for a while. Nothing else happened.

When we stopping kissing she started to drive.

"Are you hungry?" she asked with a toothy smile.

"Yes." we were in the tattoo place for along time.

"ok I hope you like Chinese." she said eyeing me.

After we ate she took me home.

"I had fun today I hope we can do this again sometime this week." she was smirking.

"yeah." I gave her a toothy smile.

I gave her my number before I got out of her car and she sent me a message right away. I walked inside of my house. My mom greeted me,

"Where have you been? Did you make a friend? Who was that girl is she your girlfriend?" so many questions came out of her mouth.

"I was on a date, yeah, it was Riley Parks and not yet." I answered trying not to blush.

"Yay, I want grand kids Jace, ok ,but not soon so use protection!" she said excitedly and worried.

"Oooh Jace got that girl pregnant!" my little sister Lily exclaimed.

"Shut up Lil!" I fussed.

"I am going to my room to study I have a test tomorrow. Goodnight mom." I said that with a toothy smile and walked over to my mom and kissed her forehead.

"goodnight sweetie." she kissed back.

"goodnight Riley." lily said mimicking me.

"LILY! SHUT UP!" I said mugging her.

"you two be nice!" my mom pointed her fingers at us.

I walked upstairs to my room and thought about my dad. When I was 10 he died from getting attacked by a bear. My dad was a hunter and I used to hunt with him,

"dad can I go with you?" I asked my him.

"not this time buddy." he said patting my head.

hours later:

*ring ring ring*

"hello, what's wrong, is he ok! I'll be right over!" my mom answered the phone and when she hung up she had tears in her eyes.

"what's wrong mommy?" I asked hugging her leg.

"nothing I'm fine. go get lily and get inside of the car." she was still crying, but I did as I was told.

"yes mommy, where are we going?" I asked curiously.

she didn't answer. We pulled into a driveway, and when I saw we were at a hospital I started to get tears in my eyes.

"what's wrong mommy!" I yelled more than asking.

she still didn't answer we sat in the waiting room when a nurse came in and took us to his room.

"son?" my dad was laying down on a hospital bed.

"daddy!" I screamed with tears shooting out of my eyes, I ran towards my dad when a nurse grabbe me and told my mom we had to wait outside because when I yelled I scared my dad and his breathing got heavier than before.

hours later we were still in the waiting room and a nurse came and told us that he had passed.

The thought of that made me emotional. I loved and missed my dad, lily was only 5 so she didn't really understand when it happened.

After minutes later of studying I fell asleep.
