Cape Town, South Africa
Velma shifts her weight uncomfortably on the
rocking boat beneath her."I really had to set sail by myself, guys?" She calls back to her team of mystery solvers as her unsteady, creaking carriage floats her deeper into the darkness in front of her. Velma has little faith in the graying rotten wood, the only thing keeping her from descending into the ink colored river beneath her. She has one mission, find a blinking light, the shine of a projector, any sign of machine gears turning. The only way to debunk South Africa's oldest colonial building. Velma reminds herself she is best fit for the daunting task, exploring an underground system of rivers. With room for only one in the rickety wooden raft, Velma knew what to look for. After her time with NASA, she got to know the technology necessary for pulling off Castle of Good Hope's 'ghost' activities. Her head snaps at the first sight of light, a cream colored wax candle, lighting the seemingly endless path in front of her. She trains her eyes forward with determination.
"Anything?" Shaggy calls, holding steady a thick rope, fraying at the ends. Securely tied to the end of Velma's boat to be sure she doesn't drift to the point of no return. Velma pushes her box shaped thick lenses higher on the bridge of her nose.
"Hey, I see something down here!"
