LUKES P.O.V
Dear Alexis, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for hurting you, I miss you. Please stop doing these things to yourself. I can't stand the thought of losing you, you need to promise me that you'll never take a blade and run it across your wrists, stomach, things, shoulders etc again. I need you to promise me that you'll be home when I get back, I need you Alexis. I've always needed you. It's always going to be your I'll be back in two weeks and this time I'm staying. I was wondering if you'd let me move back in with you? I love you A.
Love always, L xx
I put the letter into the White, plane envelope and like around the edges to close it.
I missed her, Alexis that is. Her blonde hair that fell just above the dimples in her back, he cheesy smile, and even her unpleasant goofy laugh. The smell of vanilla rushing through our apartment every time she walked through the door. I loved her, I still do. I will never stop loving her.
I snap out of my thoughts and make myself to the express box. The express box is an American mailing system, we have them in every street and if you get there in time the postman will collect the mail and it will be delivered to the receiver that day. I make my back to what I now call home and make my way to my room, I fall onto my bed and just as I am about to fall asleep someone knocks at my door.
"Luke hunny, are you awake?"
"Yeah mum, come in." I say to my mother.
"I have some good news my sweets." Says my mother smiling like a three year old with chocolate as she walks into my catastrophic room.
"What is it Ma?" I say to my mother as she lays on my bed beside me. She'd always done this, we have a very strong bond and I'd never let anything happen to her.
"We leave tomorrow." She says moving my overgrown hair out of my face and smiling happily.
"Hold up, are you serious Ma?" I say jumping up, almost crying because of how happy I am. I know, okay. I'm a dude, I'm not supposed to cry.
"Pack your things baby, we're going on a road trip." Says my mother standing up from my bed.
"Where driving?" I say confusingly.
"We sure are, it's cheaper than flying babe.. I'm sorry, but I just can't afford that right now. You know, with your dad gone now things are going to be tough, but on a good note Bailey will be coming to live with us." Says my mother happily but sadly all at the same time. To be honest, I didn't even know that, that was a thing. Baileys my 14 year old sister by the way, but she's not only my sister, she's my bestfriend and she's a miracle. You see, when my mum (Jen), was just 23 years old, two years after she gave birth to me, she was told she'd never have another child and that she was lucky to even be able to have me.
"Really mum? That's great! When do we leave? Tomorrow didn't you say?" I ask my mother happily.
"Well, I'm picking Bailey up in a couple of hours if you would like to come but I've already got all of my things packed, so if you can get everything packed by then we can leave tonight." Says my mother happily, I stare at her with a blank expression. "I know it's going to be tough son, but we've made it this far, just think about it okay?" Says my mother knowing that even though as much as I can't wait to leave, that I also want to stay.
"I'll be ready in two hours ma." I say without even thinking.
"Okay baby." Says my mother as she walks out of my bedroom. "Oh and Luke, call her." Says my mother before closing my bedroom door and walking out.
I chuck all of my clothes into plastic bags and take them out to the car, along with my posters, guitars, Xbox, diaries and whole load of boxes. As I'm walking to the car my phone beeps for seems to be like the hundredth time.
