Apparently it wasn't a dream. I woke up next to nothing but a pillow. I should be mad like I was last night, but all I feel is wanting him back. I miss his hugs and kisses already. Maybe it'll work out.
What am I saying? Am I really considering being a side chick?
But I needed Hayden.
  No.
Not like that. He was a good person overall. I can forgive him and we can be friends. Just friends. I needed to talk to him. I picked up the phone and searched for the contact Hayden. When I called, a woman picked up the phone. " Hello?"
My body became tense, but I let it go quickly. "Hello this is Carla. Can I speak to Hayden?"
" Carla?" She said as if she knew me already. "This is his girlfriend,Kiara. Uhh what do you need to speak to him about?"
I didn't know what to say.
"I just need to talk to him okay!?"
Silence.
Soon the phone was buzzing which meant she hung up. I almost immediately broke down. Not knowing what to do, I went to my happy place: Starbucks.
I ordered my coffee and for some reason all the tension went out my body as soon as I picked up the cup. There always was something about coffee that always made the worst days.
I drank my coffee and thought about what was going on in life. I needed to talk to Hayden. But how with Kiara in the way? I'll have to text him. I picked up my phone and started to text.

Hayden, we need to talk. I know we aren't together anymore but I miss you. I don't want to get back together, but we can be friends. You are still such a trustworthy person and I can't let you out my life. Text or call me when you can

- Carla

It was done. Now, all I needed to do is wait. I threw my coffee in the trash and headed over to my best friend's, Cece's house. She knew how to cheer me up.
