"Last call for flight 869 to Sydney boarding now"

"Come on mom please, don't make me sit with someone I don't know." I whined.

"Sorry Hailey, its too late don't argue or you don't even have to go."

My family was taking a last minute vacation from Dallas Texas, to Sydney Australia for about a month. My dad has a job offer there so his boss was flying our whole family out to get to know the place in case he takes the position.

I was 17 years old and if he took the position, everything would change for me.

I looked down at my ticket, my whole family including my bestfriend Emma who came along with us was sitting together. Except me. Just my luck I was being forced to sit with a complete stranger and I wasn't looking forward to it.

"Hailey, lets go!" my mom said pulling me out of my day dream.

I grabbed my bag and followed them onto the plane.

"Excuse me mam? my I see your ticket please? i'll show you where you'll be sitting." the flight attendant said holding out her hand

I handed her the ticket and began to look around, and older man eating a meatball sub with an open seat next to him caught my eye. 'please don't make my seat be next to him' I mumbled to myself.

"Alright mam, your in seat A14 which is the outside seat 4 rows down from here."

I smiled and thanked her as I began walking to my seat.

The boy who was sitting in the seat next to mine definitely caught my eye. He had blonde hair and dimples that were absolutely adorable.

I walked over to the seat and sat down. He pulled his head phones out and smiled.

"Hi i'm Ashton" he said holding out his hand.

He was adorable and Australian

"I'm Hailey nice to meet you."

"Ah, you're not from Australia are you? he laughed.

"No, im from here in Texas but I might be moving to Sydney in the next few months.

He's smiled

"Well allow me be the first to say I hope you do."

I laughed

"Ladies and Gentleman, please fasten your seatbelts our flight to Sydney will be taking off momentarily." The speaker blared above us

"Hailey, would you mind if I held your hand while we took off? I'm kinda afraid of planes." Ashton said turning a bright shame a red

"Thank god. I was thinking that I just didn't wanna ask" I laughed holding out my hand.

Ashton grabbed my hand as the plane started rolling down the runway.

The higher we got the harder he grasped my hand, it actually started hurting.

"Ashton, its okay. Were fine." I said opening the side window revealing the clouds

He let out a deep breath loosening his grip on my hand but not letting go.

"Thanks, Hail." He said smiling

The plane we were on offered free Wi-Fi so as soon as we were allowed to take out our phones I did with my free hand of course.

If it was anyone else holding my hand I would of let go already but Ashton was really cute so I wasn't wasting my opportunity.

"Hey Ash, wheres this hot girl you texted me about?" another boy who seems our age said approaching our seats.

I looked over to Ashton whose face was turning just as red as mine was.
