I got on the soccer team! Still excited. I sit near this girl in the soccer team and hopes she notices me. Hope she does. "The names Shea! " She turns and says to me. "I'm.. I'm Claudia." I say as I smile sweetly. "Great to know! " she says sarcastically. So I think I am alone. None of my friends are in the soccer team. Callum went to Basket Ball. All I have is a sarcastic Year 6 girl and the evil Philip. But some of his gang are nice like Noaki and Jimmy (NOT MY BROTHER JIMMY). Besides that, I'm alone. I'm the only one of my type, a Year 5 girl. Whoe is me. "Ok everyone, I'm Mr lee. Ohhh we have two girls, that's new..." Mr Lee starts to speak. He is Irish I think. Wait he said thats new to having girls on our team. Girls can play soccer too. "I will be taking you guys... and ladies for soccer these two terms.." HAHAHA hooow funny (NOT!). And I'd rather not be called a lady thank you very much. " we are going to have two teams split equally" YEAH RIGHT " and the teams will interchange each week. OK.." "OK" everyone shouts back, I say it silently. "Ok team, which Premier League team do you guys all go for?" I stay quiet. I go for West Ham. "Manchester United!" someone shouts, "Arsenal" another screams, "Liverpool", says some random. Does anyone go for West Ham? "What team do you go for young las?" Mr Lee asks me. Really, a lass. Gosh I hate this teacher already. "Um.. I don't really go for one." I mange to stumble out. "Very well then go for Arsenal!" I am guessing he is an Arsenal supporter. This is going to be a long hour.

Recess:

DING DING DING! The bell goes. I avoid Philip on all costs because I can't be bothered to speak to him anymore. I rush to the canteen. yes! No long queue. I buy some popcorn and a cookie then I rush and find somewhere to sit, usually under a tree. Is my usual tree taken?.... No it's not and I sit down. The cookie is delicious. Popcorn is so nice but it would be nicer if I had someone to share it with. Suddenly I hear an argument. Three year 6 girls are ganging up on this other year 6 girl. My curiosty contorls me and I ears drop. Turns out another year 6 girl is there to support the year 6 girl being ganged up on. They are arguing because the one being ganged up on didn't like the way the other girls were treating her. Then the argument stops and the 'mean' girls walk away. The two other girls remain, still standing there. "Friends?" one says to the other. "Ok Friend!" the other replies. I felt so happy for them but sad at the same time because I have no friends, well proper friends that are girls. I decide to stand up and go to the playground, those girls happen to be there. I sit in the tunnel in my own yellow world. Then the girls sit on the platform on the otherside of the platform discusing maths. Wait.. MATHS! I LOVE MATHS!

"How are you suposed to work out the square root of 49." one says.

"I don't know. I was never good at maths." The other replies. Hang on... I could help them.

"Excuse me" I say shyly. "I can help you work out the square root of 49."

"Really! That would be great!" one replies.

"By the way I'm Sabena and this is my friend Cerys."

"HI!" I reply more cheerily. Well these girls seem nice. Suddenly the bell goes for the end of recces.

"Sorry I need to go to class, I will tell you guys at lunch. Meet at the same spot.OK?" I say. "OK!" Cerys replies. "SURE!" Sabena replies.

I am pretty sure I am about to make some new friends, friends forever, friend that will make me feel less lonely.
