**Next Morning
**Austin’s POV
I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock and sighed wishing I could stay in bed all day. I turned to my side to see Kendra was already out of bed like always. I got ready for work today and made my way downstairs. I stomach growled as I smelt breakfast being made. I love when Kendra cooks! I walked in the kitchen and hugged Kendra from behind, “Morning babe!”
“Excuse me?” The brunette turned around and I was left wide eyed backing away quickly.
“Your not my fiancé!” I shouted in shock.
“Austin, morning um this is Samantha, Grace’s nanny!” Kendra said with a smile.
I turned to Samantha and smiled, “I’m Austin, um sorry about that…” I said shaking her hand. “So I guess you’re the one who made breakfast?”
“Yeah I’ll serve you a plate!” She said all cheerfully.
“Great… Um Kenny we need to talk before we leave for work.” (Kenny is Kenra's nickname, if you read the I Hope You Come True you'd know that but just letting you know...)
“About?” Kendra asked pretending to be clueless.
“You know what.” I grabbed the plate Samantha gave me and sat at the breakfast table with my daughter and Kendra.
“Um we have to go thank you it was great!” Kendra said about to take her plate to the dish washer but Samantha stopped her and took it for her. She finished the dishes and picked up Grace. It was completely weird seeing a complete stranger with my baby girl.
“Have a good day!” She said closing the door behind Kendra and I.
Kendra was speed walking towards her car but I stopped her right in time, “What were you thinking?”
“Um that I was going to my car to get to work…”
“I mean about that lady!”
“Her name is Samantha, and she’s here to help.”
“Why didn’t you talk to me about this?”
“Because you would have said no and I really want this her Grace and it will help us okay.”
“I don’t trust her… But I’ll try to think about this all…” I hesitated to say.
“Thanks!” Kenny kissed my cheek and pulled out of the drive way. I still didn’t feel okay with this though.
**3rd Person POV
Samantha looked through the window holding the 2 year old tight in her arms. She opened the window slightly, as she ears dropped on the couple in the drive way. She obviously knew she wasn’t wanted by Austin which brought a scowl to her face. As the two pulled out of the drive way Gracie reached her arm out waving goodbye to her young parents saying, “Mama, Pa bye-bye!”
Samantha turned to look at the small child and smiled saying, “Yeah bye-bye is right! Good job!” Grace smiled. “Let’s go take you to play! Samantha and Grace played for hours laughing and enjoying their time together. Grace warmed up to her quite quickly which wasn’t very common of the shy girl.
Later that night, Samantha held Grace closely wrapped in her arms as they laid on the couch watching TV. When eventually they both fell asleep...
**Austin’s POV
I drove up the drive way exhausted from work today; with traveling, going to different interviews, shows and stopping at the studio. Well I love what I do with a passion but sometimes it gets tiring when you have a full day like today.
I was surprised to see that Kenny’s car wasn’t here yet; meaning she took a late shift today… I walked in through the door and Grace ran up to me and hugged me. I kissed her chubby cheeks and walked towards the living room to find Samantha sleeping.
“Samantha… Samantha…” I said shaking her shoulder a bit.
“You’re home!”
“Yeah, and you’re asleep…” I said raising an eyebrow.
“Oh my I’m so sorry it’s just I was putting her to sleep and she fell sleep and I guess I dozed off but I’m truly sorry!” She said babbling on.
“Its fine I know Grace is a lot to handle so I’m not mad… But get home safely!”
“I will… And dinner is on the stove if you want some!”
“Thanks…” I waked her to the door and she kissed Gracie on the cheek then surprisingly hugged me. I screwed up my face and shut the door completely shocked at the weird situation.
**Later
“Hey love!” Kendra said taking her black heals off at the door.
“How was work?” I asked.
“Good what are you doing still up it’s 2 in the morning…”
“I wanted to wait for you, you know I don’t like to sleep until you get here…” She came and cuddled to my sides and looked up at me, “What?” I asked.
“Did you think about Samantha?”
“Yeah…”
“Okay, spit it out!”
“She can stay, until I’m not so busy with work and this album…” She squealed and hugged me tightly. I still didn’t understand why she wanted this so badly…
**Next Morning
**Kendra’s POV
I woke up this morning and did the usual then checked to see if Gracie was awake yet, which she wasn’t. As I was making a cup of tea the door bell rang and I knew it was Samantha. “Hey Sam!” I said answering the door.
“Hi, where’s Grace?” She asked.
“Still asleep, there is a baby monitor in the kitchen, living room, bathroom and mine and Austin’s room on loud so you can just chill until you hear her wake. Um I meant to tell you this yesterday but it slipped my mind because I already gave it to her… but she has to take a medicine in the bathroom cabinet when she wakes up and goes to bed don’t forget please it’s for her heart.”
“What’s wrong with her heart?” She asked curiously.
“She was born with a small hole in her heart and she takes medication for it… But I feel like I’m forgetting to tell you something…”
“I think I got it in control and just call if anything, you don’t want to be late for work!” Sam said rushing me out the house.
**3rd Person POV
Sam made breakfast and waited for Austin to wake up. When he did he rushed into the kitchen, ate quickly then thanked her and left to work. Sam walked up stairs and made her way to Gracie’s room. She admired her through the bars of the baby crib. “It’s just you and me now Gracie…”
