Third Person
The vampire watched the sleeping blond with curiosity. The Cullens were so excited that she had woken from her coma, that they didn’t notice his scent, and for that he was grateful. He did not want to be seperated from his mate anytime soon. He knew that he was being selfish with her, as he was going to turn her into a vampire VERY soon, without her permission. Afterall he has been waiting for a mate for over one-thousand years. With his burgandy eyes glancing over the girl one last time as she peacefully slept, he jumped out of the window, and ran into the night.
Ella’s point of view.
Today I am very excited because I get to go live with my new family. Once we had checked out of the hospital we began to make our way to my house to collect some of my belongings.
As I unlocked the front door and walked in, I could smell the strong scent of blood and alcohol. Just the smell made me cringe.
“So we should we start dear?” asked Esme.
“ I only have to grab a few things from my bedroom and then we can leave” I replied.
I went upstairs into my bedroom, and I was utterly shocked at what I saw. My room was in shreds. There were scratch marks down the walls, my duvet was ripped and feathers were everywhere, my bookcase was on its side with books scattered everywhere. But what mostly frightened me was a message on the wall, it said: “ You are my property, no one elses, I will get you Ella Cullen”. I tried not to cry, I knew exactly who did this. It was my father. I couldn’t tell the Cullens, I couldn’t get them involved in this. I quickly grabbed a duffle bag from under my bed and chucked some clothes in it along with a picture of my family before the crash, a picture of my mum when she was pregnant, and a heart shaped locket that my mother gave to me on my fifth birthday. I still remember what she told me when she gave it to me, she said
“ As long as you wear this you will be protected, never take it off, or else you will no longer be protected.”
I still couldnt decipher what she meant by ‘protected’ but I never took it off until ‘he’ started abusing me. I guess that I thought that it wasnt protecting me, and didnt see the point in wearing it.
Snapping out of my daydream i grabbed my bag and made my way downstairs where Esme was patiently waiting at the kitchen counter.
“Are you ready to go now sweetheart?” Esme asked in her delicate, yet soft voice.
“ Yes I have got everything I need”
She frowned at my bag, noticing that it was small, and wasnt even half full.
“OK then lets go, we have a suprise for you back at the house” She said with excitement.
We quickly got into her car and drove for about twenty minutes, but not once did I get bored. I was very fascinated with the pine trees that we were passing. I made a mental note to take a photo of them if I ever get a camera. Eventually we turned onto a dirt driveway which was about one kilometere long. Once we reached the end of the driveway I was stunned. The house was mostly made out of glass, and looked like it had three different levels. Behind it was a huge green forest which looked like it would stretch for miles.
"Do you like the house?" Esme asked.
"It's stunning " I whispered.
