Thunder Storms

Fandom: Shadowhunters/The Mortal Instruments
Pairing: Malec
Prompt: Magnus is scared of thunder storms, and his Alec protects him

Thunder echoed throughout the large penthouse, causing the sparkly warlock, known as Magnus Bane, to flinch and hide himself further into the twisted covers. The strong scent left on the sheets from his boyfriend made him relax slightly. 'Where is Alec when I need him?', Magnus thought to himself. Magnus was severely scared of thunder storms. When Magnus was younger, Magnus never had anyone to comfort him when storms came along, and being as old as he is, people find it hilarious. The only thing that calms him down is his boyfriend, Alec. Another clap of thunder echoed throughout the penthouse, and lightning lit up his bedroom. Magnus flinched, a small whimper coming out of him. As all got quiet, he could hear the heavy footsteps across the hardwood floor.

Alec had rushed home, but was stopped constantly by phone calls from his sister, Isabelle. Alec ignored the call, letting it ring out. Alec let out a sigh of relief as he reached the wide door of the penthouse. Alec was satisfied that he made it home, it was a record time.

Alec didn't bother knocking, as he just walked straight into the house (Da Rude Sandstorm). Alec looked around gloomly at the messy living room. Magnus wasn't OCD, but he normally kept the living space clean, so Alec knew that going to Idris for a few weeks was not good on the short warlock. Alec hurriedly walked into his and Magnus' shared bedroom. A small whimper was heard as thunder erupted. Alec walked over to the bed (removing his gear in the process), and quietly laid down next to Magnus' shaking figure. Alec engulfed him in a hug, resting his chin atop of his head, and whispered," I'm here now baby." "I've missed you," Magnus' voice came out in a sml whisper. "I missed you too," Alec kissed the top of Magnus' head, and sighed contently.

Hearing Alec's voice was like music to his ears, it made him relax. Magnus cuddled himself up into Alec's chest, slowly becoming engulfed into his boyfriend's scent. "I'll protect you from the mean thunder," Alec mumbled playfully, causing the warlock to let out a small giggle. "You're a dork", Magnus said. "But I'm your dork baby," The taller said, causing Magnus to blush.

As the storm calmed, Magnus slowly fell asleep, leaving Alec awake. "I love you baby boy," Alec kissed the top of Magnus' head, pulled the small body close. Alec fell asleep with a small smile on his face.

A/N: So, I've been wanting to start a one shot book for a while, but idek why I haven't yet. Most of these one shots are pre-written. If you want a one shot written, name the pairing/ship.
