Close Call

Queen Aquaria is still in a deep sleep, but now Brendon has arrived and has a small grin om his face, and he knows that everything is going to be alright. he walks over to Azure to see how she's doing, and by surprise he finds her smiling too. It's as if she knew what was happening.

Chapter 3: Close call

Brendon's P.O.V

While walking towards my office in the morning, I recognized a familiar face waiting for me at the door. I wait for a second to see if they move to another part of the castle, but they just stand there facing the door. When I decide that it was okay to keep going, I walk up to the person. I realize then that it is the Prime Minister (A/N: I think this is the second best after royalty, sorry if I'm wrong) of the neighboring kingdom closest to us.

When I walk up to him, he sees me there and bows his head in respect. I bow my head back.

"Good Morning, Prime Minister McCarthy. It's rare to see you here in this area." I said with a bit of suspicion in my voice.

"Good Morning to you to Your Highness. I have business to attend to later, but right now I'm on an assignment from the King of Iluminia. If you don't mind I would like to speak with you for a while." He replied with a serious face.

"Alright then." I said, as I opened the doors to my office.

When we entered, and took a seat he went straight to the point. I got a little bored, but I knew that it was important to keep listening.

"We of the other kingdoms...blah...blah...blah...wanted to form an alliance with all neighboring kingdoms...blah...blah...blah...to help the needy receive better care." (A/N: he doesn't really say "blah" just so you know) McCarthy has just finished his long speech. I listened to the important parts, but there were many fillers in there.

Once McCarthy finished he said "You have 5 days to think about it. When that time is up then I will come back with a scroll. If you sign it then you are a part of the alliance, and if not then you are our enemy if war breaks out."

"I understand" I replied. When I was about to walk McCarthy out of my office, Diculio barges in. It looks like he's out of breath. "Diculio, what's the matter." I asked.

"*huff huff  huff* It's Azure *huff* she hasn't been *huff* drinking her milk." Diculio replies, breathing between words.

I looked at him with fear spreading across my face. When I turn towards McCarthy he looks confused. I try to find an excuse to say so that he doesn't find out the truth.

"Who is Azure? Is she your daughter or something?" McCarthy questioned. Oh no! What do I do! What do I say! Is the truth going to come out? Do I have a good excuse?
