Shemar's Point of View
It is a hot and sunny day in here, in Los Angeles and here I am, driving my new Ferrari down the street, speeding to the studio to film the new episode of Criminal Minds. With the air conditioning system in my car, I look outside my car window, seeing the crazy busy Los Angeles. My focus returns to the road and quickly, I have arrived the CBS building. I park my car and see my bro Matthew getting out from his black Ford.
'Get a new car, man. Don't you enjoy the speed of a Ferrari?' I wrap my arm around his shoulder.
'Nah. I prefer to go with the simple ones. I don't want to attract much attention.' Matthew says.
'I am not going to argue with you because it will go nowhere.' Yeah, we have been through this topic for a thousand times.
'Glad to know.' We both lock our cars and head to the building.
'So how's your date with that girl?' Matthew asks.
'You mean Susan? Well, dating isn't the word I would like to use. I would say she is a great partner when it comes to FWB. I mean she is...' I say, actually I don't mean any of them, I just want to see Matthew's reaction as his reactions often entertain me. That Susan is only a girl that my mum forces me to meet. She desperately wants me to get married.
'Okay, no further details.' Matthew covers both of his ears.
'Acting innocent?' I chuckle.
'Not acting, being. I am innocent.' Matthew says, with a hint of humour in his voice.
'Anyway, Thomas is directing this episode, right?' I ask.
'Yeah, I love it when Thomas direcets. He is a great director.' Matthew states. I nod in agreement.
'Bro, I think I am going have to go to Starbucks to get a cup of espresso. I just don't have that energy in me today.' Matthew says.
'Alright, see you later.' I wave and walk into the building alone. I go to our Criminal Minds backstage studio and get my outfit and makeup done. I put on an army green t-shirt and also a pair of black jeans. The makeup artist didn't do much except putting a bit concealer and highlighters and stuff. I mean, how much makeup can you put on a guy? Someone then knocks on the door. I turn around and see a paled Thomas.
'Morning, man. What's that look? Something happened to James, Travis or Agatha?' I ask. They are Thomas's children.
'No, do you remember Tracy?' He asks. I nod. 'The guest star we hire for this episode.'
'Exactly, she resigned this morning.' Thomas says.
'What do you mean she resigned?' I frown.
'She did. And we need to recruit someone, fast. 8 days per episode, we are barely on track. If we postpone the shooting, everything will be a mess.' Thomas pinches his nose bridge.
'Is there anything I can do to help?' I ask with concern.
'Can you gather everyone in the conference room?' 'Sure.' I go ahead and wait for everyone. Everyone has arrived except for Matthew. Honestly, what takes him so long? The Starbucks is like a block away. How long can he go? Where the hell is he? I walk to the concourse of the building and wait impatiently.
After some impatient waiting, Matthew finally appears but there is a girl behind him. Do they know each other? Is she one of the paparazzi? Damn, that girl looks like she is in bad shape. She is drowned in some brown liquid. Wait, are they holding hands? Before my mind can proceed any more information and questions, they walk into the building.
