Peggy P.O.V

I sip on my water as Captain Levi sat quietly next to me. I felt horrible for opening my mouth, when I knew I shouldn't. After all, he did leave his squad to sit next to me. The reason for my outburst was the fact that my pride was diminished under the scrutiny of his fellow cadets.

"I'm sorry Levi " I said as I paused from my work. I then stuffed the napkin in my pocket for safe keeping. He remained silent his face emotionless. His hands rested on the table. I hesitantly grabbed the Captain hand's holding it. They were cool to the touch and felt strong and firm.

"I didn't mean it Cap, I just have a big mouth that doesn't shut up sometimes. They say I get it from my dad" I laughed attempting to make a joke. I heard him sigh as he looked at me.

"Captain say something please" Levi didn't respond but didn't reject my touch. I had to take a different approach to get him to speak to me again.  "All my life I've always wanted to blend in. The more I tried, the more I stood out. To everyone I was the weird smart girl who loves missiles and computer. The one with the rich dad. "
I looked away "I'm really sorry for being an ass" I said to him. He grabbed my free hand resting on the table. I turned to look into his grey eyes.

"Tch, I'm sorry too brat. It must be hard being from another world surrounded by strangers and helping them out. I admit we haven't been as welcoming as we should " Levi said sincerely squeezing my hand before letting go. I felt a shiver run up my spine but I completely ignored the feeling.

"It's fine Cap" I said shrugging my shoulders. I gave him encouraging smile. "Comrades " I asked raising a hand.

"Comrades" Levi said shaking my hand.

We were interrupted as I felt someone jump to sit next to me. There sat a girl with brown hair and brown eyes staring lustfully at my uneaten food. Her tongue sticking out q
out as she began salivating.

I poke her to get her attention. "Can I help you" I asked

"I'm Sasha, I was wondering if you were going to eat that?" She said pointing at my plate. I remain silent and stun, because the only reason the girl came to my table was for my food. Sasha stared at me pleading me like a sad hungry puppy.

"Um sure" I stuttered. This girl was kinda of freaking me out with her staring at me. "Thank you, thank you" Sasha replied kissing me on the cheek. "You're an angel"

"Not so fast Cadet Blouse. Cadet Stark you have not eaten anything. I can't have my squad weak because they didn't eat" Levi said taking the plate from Sasha placing it in front of me.

Sasha mouth hunged open as it look like her heart shattered into a million pieces. "Levi it's fine" I protested.

"What did you call me" Levi said standing up.

Everyone looked, I saw fear flash their eyes. I gave him a confused look "I just said your name what-" before Levi startled me by grabbing by the collar. "I am your superior, you refer to me as Corporal " he stated. I saw his eyes sparkle in the light,then it dawned on me. I have to act like an average soldier and in doing so, I call Levi by his proper title. I smirked before dropping it, replacing it with fear.

I put on my most terrified face I can, trying hard to sell my act. "I'm sorry Corporal. I f-forgot. I'm sorry won't happen again" I said making my voice crack in fear. I also made my eyes water to add more to the drama. Thank you Natasha Romanoff I mentally thanked for teaching me my acting skills.
