Chapter 1: moving

"Hey ma!" I say as I get in the door. "Hey babes I need to talk to you" she said sounding serious. "Okay..." I slid onto the couch. "We're moving..." I sigh and fall backwards "where to this time" I say as I roll my eyes. "A-America " I sit up straight. "WHAT WHY? WHY ARE WE MOVING TO AMERICA!?!" I yell with tears coming to my eyes. My mum continues " because I got a job there but you have the option to stay and live with your dad or you can come and live with us in America." I think. I could start fresh in America and have a new life. But if I move I'm leaving my best friends. And half of my family. " when and where" I ask. " at the end of this term and Virginia " " mum that's like two weeks" I say to her " I know and you can think about it for a week then tell me." I just nod my head and slowly go to my room. If I move with mum I leave half my family and my friends. I might get to meet jacob and go to his school. But if I leave I will only come over in the holidays to see my dad and friends again. I want to leave and have a new life.

A week later...

"Mum?" I say. " yes" she says back " I want to come with you and live in America" I say she nodds " your going to have to tell alexi and your other friends I know that will be hard but I know that you are strong and can do it okay Hun you have this week to do it" she says before I leave for school. " okay ma goodbye I will try tell them today" I say as I walk out the door " love you ma" " love you to babes"

I walk up to alexi, Chané, Olivia, kata, opal, and moose (hailie), ( I go to a all girls school.) my tummy is turning but I am going to tell them today and right now. "Hey guys I need to tell you something" I say as tears fall from my eyes " what is it babe?" Alexi, my best friend/sister asked as she wipes my tears away. " I'm moving..." "What?" They all say at the same time. "Where are you moving to?" Alexi has tears streaming down her face as she asks this. I start crying even harder. "Virginia in America" I say balling my eyes out. They all start crying which is making me cry more " w-when d-do you leave?" Kata asks. "At the end of the term" I say as she pulls me in for a hug. Everyone gives us a hug. I let go of kata and turn to alexi and give her the biggest hug sobbing into each other's shoulder never wanting to let go. DINGGGGGG.

*SKIPPING TO THE END OF THE DAY BC I CAN 😂 *

" hey babes how did it go? Did you tell them?" My mum asked " yea I told them" I say sighing.

It was the last day of term one and this is my last day at this school, last time walking down these halls, last day seeing all these fab girls, last day being in New Zealand. "Hey babes" I say to my squad sadly. "Hey" they say hugging me. "Promise me today we are gonna have a good day up until the time we have to leave?" I ask them and they nod. " Layla can u hang today after school?" Alexi asks trying to smile. I shake my head " no I leave at 5.30pm"

*SKIPS TO 3.30pm WHEN SCHOOL FINISHES*

We go into the hallway and just start balling our eyes out. " why do u have to leave" alexi asks. I just stay quiet. We hug and then I jump into alexi's arms and give her the biggest and tightest hug ever. We stay there for what seems like forever we both never wanting to let go.
