The Summer Elvis Stayed With Us

I wake up later than usual this morning I guess I was tired from the date last night everyone else was up except I didn't see Elvis I went to get dressed and he was still asleep so I just got my close and went to the bathroom to put them on and put my pyjamas back in my room before I left I felt arms wrap around my waist "good morning beautiful" Elvis says "you hungry Elvis momma has a big breakfast cooked" I ask him he looks at me and shakes his head with a yes "you think we should tell momma and daddy about us" I ask him "I guess we should after you told Mackenzie about it" he says back we walk down the hall and my brothers look at me and sing "Jaylin and Elvis sitting in a tree k-iss-ing first comes love then comes marriage then comes Elvis with a baby carriage" "Shut up" I answer them back then Elvis and I sit down to eat then we tell momma and daddy about us and they take it ok I guess then Kenzie and I leave to go swimming and stay for almost for 5 hours when we come back Elvis is sitting against his motorcycle singing and strumming his guitar Kenzie looks at me and says "you got a keeper Jaylin and I am not just saying that cause it's Elvis Presley he treats you nicer than any of your other boyfriends you've had" "Thanks I guess" "why hello there girls" Elvis says we say hello back and walk in the house where momma was cooking a big lunch

Jaylin and Mackenzie must have been friends for a long time and I heard her telling Jaylin she had a keeper I guess I do to Jaylin is a sweet girl she said she graduated next semester so I guess I will ask her to come see Graceland then I guess she always talks about wanting to see it.

Momma told me that Elvis was a good choice better than all the other boys I have dated and I agree with her
