Tom and Bob never liked each other. The two were always bickering about something. Usually Bob would come up with a great idea and then Tom would copy it and still become more successful. This is a story about how those shoes on your feet came to be.

One day Bob decided to build a lovely red house. It had a red mailbox, a red door and even a red garage! Soon after, Tom came and built an identical house except it was blue. The same mailbox, the same door and the same garage, just in another color. Even though the houses were almost exactly the same, Tom's house was featured in magazines as one of the most desirable houses in the nation, whereas Bob's house was ignored.

A few months later, Bob was sketching and he came up with a drawing of a shoe. He had an original idea and design. On the back of the canvas shoes, he had the word BOBS framed in two horizontal red stripes. He also had a great price too! Then along came Tom. He saw Bob's sketchbook, and copied his design. He even stole his trademark. On the back of Tom's shoes he had the word TOMS framed by two horizontal blue stripes. Even though the shoes were exactly the same, Tom charged double the amount of money Bob did, and Tom's shoes were still more popular!

Now, anytime you go anywhere you'll always see someone wearing TOMS and hardly ever will you see someone wearing BOBS. Even though he had a lack of success, He was a very kind man. Even today if you buy one pair of BOBS he'll donate a pair to a kid in need of shoes.

The moral of this story is that sometimes nice guys finish last, and that's okay because in the end Bob may not be as famous or rich as Tom but he's changed many kids lives, and so in a way he really in the winner.
