The Dark Phase

Chapter 4

"Well here's a school with this amazing library, you know, there we can get all the stuff we need for our assignment. So I was thinking that we could go and apply for a membership there" she said as he took a sip from her coffee.

"Yeah that's a good idea. I think we should do that" I said as I got excited.

"Ok so let's finish our coffees and then we will leave" she said as she took the last sip of coffee from her cup, she then made a signal from her hand, so that the waiter could bring us our bill. Sometimes after El made a signal, the waiter came with our bill, El took out her pure and paid for our coffees.

"Let's go?" El asked as she kept her purse inside.

"Yeah sure" I replied as I smiled at her.

We then walked down the street. As we were walking I heard birds chirping. There was no traffic on the road, most of the people were walking or riding a bicycle, I was realising to the core of everything that thia world was not ment for me; I just wanted to complete my assignment and leave this place as soon as possible.

"So where's this school?" I asked El as I started looking around.

"Well we have to walk just two blocks to the left. Don't worry we will reach there soon" she replied.

"Ok" I said as I started walking as fast as I could.

It took us about five to seven minutes to reach the place.
"St. Marks Parks Ser. Sec. School" read the board.
"What a funny name" I thought to myself.

We both walked through the gate, as we were walking I scanned the place around. The place looked really good to me. There were boys skateboarding around, some had earphones plugged in, and some were fluting; to me, this place felt like my world.
We then walked through an empty hall and entered a huge door which led us to a library. As we entered the library, we saw a lady with glasses sitting on the desk.

"How may I help you?" she asked as she removed her glasses.

"Hi, we applied for the membership" she replied as she smiled sweetly at her.

"Yeah, but you guys are not from this school, right?" she asked as she pointed a pen towards us.

"Yes but we really need one; I mean this is the largest library in the town" she replied as she pleaded.

"But you guys don't study here" she said as she pulled on her glasses on her nose.

"But ma'am please, we really need the membership" El pleaded.

"Ok but only on one condition" sge said as she looked as us.

"Yes ma'am anything, anything" El said.

"You both have to work here and when you guys are done with it, then you can read the books" she said as she made her point.

"El I am not working here!" I whispered in El's ear.

"Stacy it's the only way, you just keep quite, I will handle it" she whispered.
"We both agree to it ma'am" she added.

"Ok. You both star from now!" she said as she pointed her pen in the straight direction, we followed it.

We started our work from dusting and rearranging the old books. We then started cleaning the shelves.
"Look where you got me stuck!" I complained as I threw a book away, as I threw a bunch of them came down with a loud noise.

"What the hell was that?!" a voice called out from behind the books.

And then came a guy who made my heart skipped a beat.
He was a tall guy with approximately had a height of 6'0. He had a dusky complection, broad shoulders, his abs were peeping out if his sando, he had a tattoo on his left arm and his voice made me sink for a while.

"Hello!" he said as he woke me up from my thoughts.

"Oh yeah hi" I said as I tugged my hair behind my ear.

"Who the hell are you?" he asked as he raised his eyebrow.

"Ah well, I am Stacy I am new here and I am so sorry about that" I said as I got up and lifted my hand for a handshake.

"Ok if you are new then I then that doesn't count, Jacob Black" he replied as he we shook hands.

"Oh well I didn't see that there was something so hot in here" I said as I started fluting with him.

"Well....I haven't seen you before; like are you new to town?" he asked.

"Yeah we are new here" I replied as I started playing with my feet.

"Ok so will you like to give a look around?" he asked as he smiled at me.

"Yeah sure" I replied.

"Ok so seven o'clock, this evening?" he asked as he pushed his hands in his pocket.

"Yeah it will be cool" I replied as I smiled warmly at him.

"Cool. So will you mind to give me you number?" he asked as he pulled his hand out and brushed his fingers in his hair.

"Yeah yeah you can" I replied as red colour touched my cheeks.

"Go on" he said as he pulled his phone out and got ready to note down my number.

"It's 02340976166" I said as I peaked in his phone to make sure that he noted my number right.

"Ok so I have your number, I will call you lately. So see you in the evening" he said and then he turned and walked away, as he left I sat and started doing my work.

"What was that Stacy?" El asked.

"What?" I asked as I made an innocent face.

"You gave your number to a complete stranger!" she shouted.

"Hey! Come on he was hot" I replied.

"You have a boyfriend waiting for you back in New York!" she shouted as she flipped out.

"That's....that's true! What am I doing! But I am not dating this guy or something...." my inner goddess said; she was trapped, she wasn't able to answer on what to do or what not to do.
