"Here let me help you up." His hand was stretched towards the girl.

"No need to play Mr.Nice guy with me." She swatted his hand away. "I know your type." She stood up quickly, yet still in a graceful manner.

"My type? What the hell do yo-" Her stare stopped him mid-sentence. Her eyes gestured to his outfit. "I'm not one of them if that's what you're thinking, I was just trying to help."

"Well, I didn't need your help."

"Really? Cause from where I was standing it seemed like you did." His eyes made way to the blood that started to dry at her nose, in the same gesture she did to his outfit.

They stood there in silence while a wind picked up, looking at each other. He finally was able to get a good look at her. She was wearing a gray shirt that had a faded logo on it; her hair was blonde and just passed her shoulders by and inch or two. Under the blood from her nose, he saw a few freckles making their way up to the bridge of it. She had one of those faces that would be hard to find in a crowd, but once you saw it, you would never forget its simple beauty.

He stared at her eyes; they weren't grey as he thought, they were more of a blue that seemed to have all the happiness sucked out of them. She started to get dark circles from under her eyes, and due to her irritability he just encountered, it was probably from lack of sleep. She blinked a few times before she turned away.

"Hey, where you going?"

She kept walking.

"Can I at least know your name?"

She didn't turn around.

"Look, I just need some help. I'm not sure what day it is or what town I'm in. Hell, I just found out I was in Colorado right before those assholes started picking on ya. The only thing I can remember is the beginning of the war," he paused. "And that's about it, my memory has been cleared of family, friends, and what I've been doing since then."

She stopped walking.

" Can you please help?" He exhaled a sigh of desperation.
