Chapter 20 Choices

~Flashback to later the night that Emma was filled with darkness~

Sade's POV

"We are too late I can sense it... she is in your world the Enchanted Forest. She is going to bring you all there soon and she will be after you and she will also be after my wand. You see I am a lot like like the dark one but with light magic so if she gets it she would be able to control me. I am also like Emma, even though I am on the side of good now it doesn't mean that my heart could be tampered with or poisoned like Emma's was. I must go and I hope to see you again and I hope that I am still the same person who stands before you now." I know I must get back and get my wand so with that I take myself to were I was hiding it but when I got there I couldn't find it.

"Looking for something..." I turn around slowly and in front of me is Zelena and in her hand is my wand.

"Give it back or I will..." But I am cut off.

"Or you will what? Oh could you speak up I can't hear you? Oh thats right, you can't... your mine now." She leans in and smiles the wicked smile she is known for. "Now go to sleep you need rest for all the wicked thing we have planned." I start to faint. But just before I blackout I hear her say, "This is much better that flying monkeys, she's a doll for me to play with. Oh and before you do go to sleep just know that if you fail you will not see another day on the surface."

~Back to real time~

Snow's POV

I look over to see Regina hugging Henry and I don't know what to say. I always believed that good would always win in the end but here we are Regina lost Henry I lost Emma and David is trying to find Neal. It seems everything I love is being taken from me. Just as I am about to ask Regina what our next move should be she yells, "Hook you have to wake up Emma so she can save Henry!"

I knew it the reality of it but it is hard to admit that all hope is pretty much lost, "Regina she got him too."

"What?!" She looks around the room and then her eye land on his limp body, "No, he was Emma's True Love... Now who is going to save them?"

I feel like all hope is lost, like we don't stand a chance, like good has lost. "Like Sade said maybe nobody can now." Instead of making eye contact with her I just look back down at Emma and pull her a little closer.

"What? You are supposed to be the one full of hope."

"And how am I supposed to help anyone when all I have are speeches about hope?"

"Because your daughter needs you. You lost her for 28 years because of a curse, to darkness, are you really willing to lose her again maybe forever or are you going to have hope and try like all of the other times!" I realize she is right am I really wiling to give up on my daughter, my light that quick? But then the puzzling question comes back up.

"But Hook is under a curse too how are we supposed to save her?"

"Wait, when I was trying to enact the first dark curse Rumple said that true love can come in different forms and many people have more than one."

"That must be why she was able to save Henry."

"Exactly and she is his mother and you are her mother." She points to Emma.

"But what if it doesn't work?"

"Then we come up with a new plan."

All I can do is nod because I don't have anything to say. I slowly lay Emma down and leans down to kiss her forehead but just before I kisses her I whisper something I have wanted to tell her since the day I she broke the curse, "I am sorry for everything, I hope you found a way to forgive me because I only wanted the best for you, I wanted you to have everything, I wanted to be there for you but instead you lived alone for 28 years and I am so sorry." Then I kiss Emma's forehead a gust of light and wind passed through me I open my eyes and Emma's head lifts the slightest bit, her eyes flutter, and she takes a small breathe... but instead of waking up her head falls back to the floor. I open my mouth to scream her name but nothing comes out. What if she never forgave me? Why did my kiss only make her flinch? I am crying again at the reality that I have just lost my daughter. I look up and Regina and I lock eyes, "What happened it was working?"

I realize she is crying to and she whispers back, "I don't know..."

Just as she finishes her sentence a figure appears behind her. "Oh but I do!" It is Sade...

"YOU!" Regina is on her feet and going straight for her when we both freeze.

She looks at Regina and then me and with a wicked smile says, "Yes it's me... Did you really think it would be that easy to wake her. I told you there are things you don't understand about this curse. You are related to her by blood and she is related to her by marriage so like I said before none of you can wake her." She is walking in my direction and I want to pull Emma close but I can't and she stops two feet in front of me. "Now it is your choice you can either let your daughter stay in this state or I can help wake her up but she comes with me... now you have decision... So choose..."

"I can't..."

"Then she will," she says gesturing to Regina. "Your choice either way if you manage to wake up Henry you will be his only mother. It is just a matter of who suffers and how..."

"She stays asleep."

"Wow that was easy. Ok well I guess I could give you something..." She smile this devilish smile and with a wave of her hand the coffin I once laid in is on the ground in front of me and Emma is sealed inside. Sade just starts laughing, "I thought it was fitting the coffin that once held you now holds your daughter who you can't seem to save. It seems that you can only fail her..." She waves her hand and is gone. I hear Regina hit the ground but my eyes are locked on my daughter.

"I'm sorry... you deserved better..."
