What happened after school ended...

Chapter 2

----- Chapter 2 -----

 “Mom! I’m home, can you-“ I shout trying to get moms attention, while unexpectedly getting Ky’s. 

 “She went out, just so you don’t keep shouting to someone who’s not even here...”  Ky said rudely.

…did he just say that? What a know-it-all! Maybe I got my guess about him completely wrong! He is a dickhead!

“Thanks for telling me” I said sarcastically, walking away from the living room where he was sitting.

I started heading towards the kitchen, cuz I was really hungry. I realised that I hadn't even eaten today, after all, when i realised Ky was here, I did'nt  have breakfast, and I also didn't eat anything at the mall with Ashley...

I made a piece of toast and jam, and headed to the living room

"err... Ky?" i asked wondering if we could talk, as we are living together, sort of...

"Yeah?" He answered looking suspicious

"Well, i just thought we could talk, after all, you are staying at my house" I said nicely.

He smiled.

"Elena, right? I just wanted to say, thanks, you know? for letting me stay, your a good friend." He said kindly.

"Good friend? You hardly know me!" I shrieked.

"Haha! Let's get to know each other then, I'll tell you some stuff about me, then you tell me stuff about you." Ky said, as if he was proud of his idea.

"Ok, sounds good, tell me some stuff about you then" I ask, leaning in.

" Not much to tell really, as you probably know quite a lot since... y'know i was popular" He smirked.

"....ok then, well likewise, there's not much to tell, not that you would really care, cuz 'y'know' i was a nerd." I say sadly.

I wasn't a nerd, well not really, but people in high school would put lables on people, such as, smart kids were nerds, any person who was in a sports team were jocks, any person who was beautiful or fit were just generally popular... high school is strange.

"Don't say it like that Elena, if you maybe bought some new clothes, wore a bit of make-up, you could've been popular." Ky said leaning in closer to me.

"Maybe I didn't want to be, and even if i was i wouldn't feel comfortable in make-up"  I sadi truthfully.

"Really? Wow Thompson, you really are one of a kind!" He smiled.

" Not every girl likes make-up, smartass!" I smirked.

I finished my toast and jam, and went to put my plate in the dishwasher.

"I'm tired, so I'm just going to go upstairs, if you're hungry, foods in the kitchen. See ya later, Ky." I said sleepily.

"Ok, thanks Elena," Ky smiled.

Oh gosh, that smile! I swear, if Ashley was here, she would faint because that smile is SO hot!

"Uhmm, Ky? I was wondering, do you wanna.. uuhh.. go do soemthing tomorrow cuz y'know it's the summer, so it's probably better than staying in my house all day long," I asked shyly.

"Oh.. Elena, that's a nice offer, but I'm going out with the guys tomorrow, sorry, maybe another time" 

Oh my gosh! So embarrassing, I totally forgot he was the most popular guy in the school, so of course he would have places to go!

Ky stood up, walked over to the kitchen where i was, got a glass of water, then walked back to the living room.

"Yeah sorry, so what are you doing with the guys?" I asked, Ky looked strangely at me. " I.. I-I mean, It's none of my business, sorry." I could feel my cheeks burning up, for no particular reason,  I walk to the stairs, and look back at Ky.

OH GOSH he's looking at me! don't muck this up Elena, don't do anything stupid!

"Just seeing Ryder and Tom, nothing special though." Ky smirked, he noticed the redness inmy cheeks.

"Cool, err.. I'm going up, bye Ky!" I shout, running up the stairs.

"NIght Elena" Ky said faintly.

I ran through the coridoor upstairs, until I got to my  room. I opened the door, then I realised that i ahven't seen Seth since this morning, although he is pretty much always in his room, which smells like a trash can.

That reminds me, i need to drop Seth off at his friend Joe's house tomorrow... Joe has blonde hair, and for being only 16, he is surprisingly handsome for his age, he looks like he's my age, which is a bit awkward, cuz he likes me apparently...

My eyes started to shut, when I heard the front door fly open, and slam shut

"Hey, Ky darling!" I hear my mom say to Ky, he must feel really awkward with her saying that...

Mom usually went out each night, she went out with her friends, Katie, Leighanne and Martha. They all act like teenagers when they are together, it's embarrassing. Katie and Martha were really nice to me and Seth, but Leighanne is kinda bitchy, and rude, and trys to act like  she's 20, when she's more than double that age.

Before I knew it my mom opened my door. I pretended to be asleep, so she wouldn't try and talk to me about how I feel about Ky being here, and stuff like that, and I wasn't in the mood.

I heard my door close, and my eyes drifted shut, and I fell asleep.
