Chapter 1

Elli's P.O.V

Hi I'm Elli Mayer, this is a little bit of information you should know about me.

I'm 15; i live in Aberdeen, Scotland; I have long darkish blonde hair; I have blue eyes and im 5"5. Oh did I mention I love one direction? No? Oh...well I love them. Especially Niall he's my favourite.

I live at home with my dad, I have a hard time at home.

It started after mum died i was only 12, my dad went off the rails, he turned to alcohol and he'd let it take control of how he acted.

To put it simply...

He hits me. A lot, harder than anyone else I know.

I go into school with cuts and bruises all over my body, I get bullied because of them.

I also self harm, I have heaps of little slices covering both wrists, the top of my thighs and my rib cage.

I'll be honest, it helps a lot. Letting the pain out with every slice. Watching it bleed non stop until I bandage it up.

But no one knows about that because every time I go out I wear bracelets, lots if them, I never wear shorts, or cropped tops.

They also don't know that my dad abuses me they think the marks he leaves on me are from me being clumsy and falling over all the time.

Dammit how stupid could they be the marks he gives me are to serious. They don't look like marks you get from falling over.

Right anyway back to the story ...

Right now im walking home from another day at the torture hole.

School.

I open the door to my house and step inside. Seeing all the empty beer bottles littering our living room floor tells my dads home... oh no!

"Hi daddy" I called through the house. He makes me call him daddy, i don't know why?

"Elli get in her!" He shouts back at me. I walked through to the kitchen

"What the hell is this?" He questioned angrily at me pointing to the counter, with a cup on it. I could smell the scent of alcohol surrounding him.

"Why the hell have you not cleaned it up yet!?"

"Sorry daddy, I'll do it now" I said back hoping I wouldn't get a beating.

"No! You need to be taught a lesson!" He said before grabbing me by the hair and throwing me to the floor.

He kept throwing punches at me and kicking me everywhere he possibly could, he grabbed a glass and tried to throw it at my head. But because he was intoxicated he missed but the glass smashed, throwing small shards in my face cutting it.

He threw another at me and hit my side and it felt like I broke a rib. He kept throwing them at me.

"Daddy please stop now" I whimpered out trying to stop the beating. As soon as the words left my moth I instantly regretted it.

"What! How dare you talk to me like that!" He yelled and slapped me in the face.

The beating went on for about a half hour and then I think he eventually got bored. That gave me time to limp up to my bathroom and try to clean myself up.

Then I went and lay down on the mattress that I use as a bed with a dirty sheet as a cover. Slowly I drifted off into a not so pleasant sleep.
