Part VI

Clara's POV

I ran. I ran as fast as I could. I finally saw a pizza shop and walked in, trying to find a seat. 

I don't like Derek like that, I love Nate and only Nate. But when I'm with Derek I get this feeling that I don't have with Nate. Derek makes me feel like all my insecurities go away. Nates just caught up in all his music and I feel like the only time he talks to me is for sex. 

I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza and a coke, then I sat back down looking at my phone debating weather or  not I should call Derek or Nate. As soon as I was about to press call I heard someone in front of  me, "you got something on your face."

I looked up to face Derek standing in front of me, handing me a white paper napkin from off the table. I took the napkin and wiped my mouth as he sat down in front of me.  

"Hi," he started. "Are you okay? I needed to make sure-"

I leaned over the table and grabbed his face, mashing my lips into his and cutting him off. His hands flew up to my face, cupping my cheeks. 

"WHAT THE FUCK?" Nate almost tore down the door and ran over to us. He grabbed my arm forcefully and stood me up. "We're leaving. Now."

Derek's POV

I stood up and pushed Nate, trying to separate him from Clara.

"Get your fucking hands off of her, Nate," I practically screamed, getting up in his face. 

"Why are you so protective my girl? Huh, Derek?" Nate screamed in my face, I could tell by his bloodshot eyes that he was high.

"Because she's my..." I hesitated for a moment, "because she's my best friend, that's why." I screamed, getting closer to him.  "Come on, Clara, we're leaving," I said grabbing her and walking out. 

"Thank you," Clara whispered with tears in her eyes. The car ride was silent as we drove to my apartment. 

I unlocked the door and immediately, Clara pushed me against the door and started kissing me, hard. 

"W-what are you doing?" I whispered, breaking the kiss. She ignored me and took off my shirt. My breathing hitched. She started smirking as she grabbed my hand and walked me to the bedroom.
