I awoke with Marshall's arms enveloped around my body, and a comfortable sigh escaped from my lips. I removed myself from his embrace, stood up and stretched my limbs. A satisfying "crack" sounded in my ears and Marshall twitched slightly. A small grin sketched across my lips. I was kind of hungry, so I soon found myself walking to the kitchen.

I opened the fridge and pulled out the first item I saw: Strawberries. I grabbed the container firmly and shut the fridge. On the lid was a note that said, 'Enjoy! ~Marshall' on it. I smiled and removed the note along with the lid.

Placing one of the fruits in my mouth, I became aware of something odd. I cascaded my tongue along the tip of the fruit, then brought it closer to my eye. It felt different. As if someone had tampered with it. I took the strawberry to the kitchen and grabbed a small knife. I cut the fruit open at the middle, and felt dizzy as I stared at what was inside. A thin but extremely sharp needle. I felt a lump form in my throat and I forced it down.

"W-Why would Marshall..." Was all I could make out. I froze in place as chills ran down my spine. My heart began to pound wildly, and I felt like someone was right there, watching my hairs stand on the back of my neck. I steadily turned around and nearly passed out. I had caught the glimpse of a dark figure before it had darted away. I grabbed the countertop on complete and utter fear. Someone was watching me. Someone had came into the house, pretended to be Marshall, and tried to kill me. Someone wanted to hurt me, and they could at anytime they wanted to, and get as close as they wanted to.

These very thoughts brought me to my peak. I screamed and screamed and I didn't stop, not even when Marshall came to my side. I couldn't breathe. Somehow though, I managed to calm down. "Marshall. Someone wants to kill me. They set a trap for me, and I almost fell for it." I pointed to the note and the strawberries. Marshall's face seemed to go even more pale then it already was as he stared at the dislodged needle and note. He whispered something inaudible, then lifted me off the ground. He kissed my forehead softly and took me upstairs. "I need to tell you something important, (Y/N)." I waited for his explanation, and that's exactly what I got.

He told me about Ashley, and I listened respectfully. "Look. You have to (Hide, oshiete :')) (Y/N). Only until I can find a way to clear all of this up. She plays dirty, and considering your recent encounter I think you understand that this isn't an exaggeration." I shivered recalling the strawberry incident. Even so, I didn't want to be parted from Marshall for Glob knows how long. "B-But Marshall..." I quivered. He placed his palm on my head. "I know you don't want to, but I can't risk you getting hurt. I love you so much...and if she had actually gotten to harm you...I don't know what I would've done." I looked up at my boyfriend, and my heart began to ache.

"I'm going to end this, (Y/N). I'm tired of this bitch harming the people I care about." "...what are you going to do Marshall?" No answer. "Marshall...What are you going to do?" No answer. I began to shake. I knew what he was going to do and I didn't like it. "I'm going to kill her." I stared at Marshall Lee and my eyes began to water. I understood the pain she had put him through, but I knew deep down Marshall never wanted to bring pain against anyone else.

I placed my hand in his and gave it a tender squeeze. "You don't have to, Marshall. Not if it will hurt you, too." The vampire's eyes widened, and he bit his lip, a few tears escaping his eye. (crYbaBy cRybAby bUt YOu doOnt fOKin cAre) "Let's just stay together. And work this out together." I tugged him closer, and he gave me a weak smile. "I just want to keep you safe--" "And you will. Remember, Marshy? I'm a big girl." I flex my arm and he giggled softly. He nodded and embraced me, and I returned it with no words. I wish we could've have stayed like that forever, but it seems we were too comfortable too soon...
