Korey didn't think his friend would make it that long. Even if he and Jodi did find Jake, there was a slim chance of him actually surviving if he really had been shot. Korey had been uneasy ever since he had received the news from the man that called himself Marco. Marco was their source for news from around the city. Jodi didn't trust him, but she really had no choice, seeing as he was the only one who actually had news for them. When the three of them reached the place that Marco had said he saw Jake last, there was no Jake. Only a trail of blood leading off into the forest.
