Korey and Jodi decided to leave Marco to watch the car while they followed the trail of blood. Jodi was the first to see something suspicious. There were trail cameras all over the place, just like the ones her dad used when he hunted. Later, Korey looked up in the sky and saw smoke. Fire. And not an uncontrolled fire either. It was a campfire. They approached the smoke carefully, and ran into some odd people. They were naked, and had painted their face with blood. They held Jodi and Korey at knife-point and slowly brought them into the survivor camp. Once the people warmed up to them, they were accepted and able to ask about their friend. The strange people told them that they had fixed up their friend and he had gone east, looking for something. He hadn't told them what, just that he was looking for something.Jodi and Korey knew what Jake wanted to find in the east. They find that thing, they find him. By morning, they were off.
