Chapter 2: The Arrival

Lucy's POV:
I wake up from my peaceful sleep and hear the flight attendant announce
"We're getting ready to land"
I look out the window and sure enough I could see Magnolia.
"Well looks like I made it!"
"Its amazing its been three years since I was last here!"
I start to feel the plane land on the runway.
(A/n: I've never ridden an airplane before and I really don't want to)
"Thank you for flying American airlines"
"I hope you've enjoyed your flight" says the flight attendant
I grab my bags out of the compartment above me and make my way out.
I see a big purple sign that reads
"Welcome Home Lucy!"

I see my dad Jude with a big fat grin on his face holding up the sign.
"Really dad?" I sweat drop
"Lucy!"
My dad comes running to me and giving me a big long hug.
He was wearing his police uniform.
"Dad its great to see you too!"
"Now can you let me go please you're embarrassing me!" I whined.
"Oh sorry Lucy I just missed you so much!" He wipes the tears from his eyes.
"I missed you too dad but this gigantic sign was unnecessary!" I say pointing at the huge welcome back sign.
"Well at least you were able to find me easily because of it"
*Sigh*
I gave up trying to reason with him so I just nod.
We are now driving in my dad's old school police car.

Well it may be old but dad modified the engine so that it runs as if it was one of those new model cars.
There was nothing but silence during the car ride until dad spoke
"So Lucy how was your flight?"
"Long and tiresome"
"Oh umm...how's your mom and Louie?"
"Great just traveling a lot"
"That's nice are you excited to attend public school tomorrow?"
"I guess"
After that the car ride fell silent again until we made it to my dad's apartment complex.

We get out of the car and dad grabs my suitcases from the trunk and carries them into the apartment.
As I walk in I see the apartment still looks the same from three years ago besides another welcome home sign hanging on the wall.

I walk towards my room until I see the one picture that always seems to upset me.

I just hang my head down low and continue towards my room.
"Here we are Lucy!"
I look to see the same room from 3 years ago that I used to sleep in whenever I came to visit during the summer.

"I'll let you get settled"
"I'll be down the hall if you need anything"
I just stay silent.
Dad leaves without saying anything else to me.
A single tear falls from my eyes as I think to myself
"Dad you're such an idiot messing up our once happy family!"
I start unpacking my bags and decide to take a quick shower.

~Time Skip~
20 minutes later...

I was out of the shower and I'm feeling refreshed. I put on my kimono style night gown just wanting to go to bed.
I'm about to lay down when I hear a knock at the door.
"Lucy?"
"Yeah dad?"
"Can I come in?"
*sigh*
"Sure dad!" I say while crossing my arms.
"You have a visitor" he says while opening the door.
Before, I can say anything in a flash someone had pulled me into a hug.

Well here's the second update for this story and unfortunately this will be the last update for this story since I'm about to eat dinner, read some stories and go to bed since my little is sleep.
